Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between John Brophy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Greg Plitt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Brophy kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Last Caress/Green Hell - Metallica. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 3 - 0, fighting out of London, John Brophy! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 6 - 0, fighting out of London, Greg Plitt! The judges for this bout are Phil Schofield, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Plitt falls off balance throwing a combination
and Brophy counters with an inside leg kick. Plitt looks to score with a jab to the body but Brophy is just out of range. Brophy swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target. Brophy throws a leg kick and Plitt decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Brophy's guard. Plitt wants to pass the guard but Brophy is keeping the position. Plitt is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brophy keeping moving, preventing Plitt from controlling successfully.
That's one minute gone in the round. Plitt slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Brophy controlling the position. Plitt slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Brophy bobs and weaves and throws out a fast jab that snaps Plitt's head backwards. Plitt throws a poor cross that misses
letting Brophy counter with a right hand. Plitt misses with a hook. Brophy ducked under it nicely. Brophy seems to be moving with more speed, compared to his last bout. He must have been working on that in the gym.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Brophy looks to score with a jab to the body but Plitt is just out of range. Plitt misses with a left hand letting Brophy counter with a right hand. Brophy connects with an inside leg kick. Brophy throws out a loose jab but Plitt uses good head movement to avoid it. Plitt is clearly looking to counter with head kicks. Plitt throws a lazy head kick and Brophy counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Plitt on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Brophy. Brophy obviously looking to wear him down.
Brophy scores with a sloppy punch to the body. Not much technique there but it did the business. Brophy lands with a thumping leg kick.
Greg Plitt seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Plitt throws a sloppy head kick and Brophy counters with a nice low kick that buckles Plitt's knee momentarily. Plitt tries to check a leg kick but that clearly hurt him. Plitt throws out a loose jab but Brophy uses good head movement to avoid it. Plitt misses with a right hand and Brophy cracks him with a counter punch right on the button. Jab, jab by Brophy - just one landing.
That's three minutes gone in the round. A cross from Plitt lands. Brophy throws a nice inside leg kick. The crowd cheers as Brophy lands an impressive looking overhand right. Plitt doesn't seem phased though. Brophy scores with a kick to the body.
Brophy moves out of range of the body kick. A good leg kick by Brophy. Plitt swings for the body but Brophy moves out of range.
Brophy throws a low kick but Plitt moves out of range easily. Brophy pushing out the jab but it's not landing. Brophy throws a hook but Plitt avoids it easily. Plitt avoids a lazy jab quite easily. Plitt avoids a low kick by using good footwork.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Brophy scores with a punch to the head. Plitt digs a good hook to Brophy's body.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Plitt throws a monster uppercut resembling something out of street fighter but it doesn't land. Plitt gets cracked there but stands up to it.
Brophy connects with a nice looking jab.
Plitt takes a body punch but keeps moving. Brophy lands a pitter patter jab to the forehead of his opponent. Brophy fakes the leg kick and cracks Plitt in the body. Brophy connects with a good right hand that stumbles Plitt. Plitt circles away out of range and recomposes himself.
Plitt is rocked! Brophy measures up his opponent and throws a superman punch that connects to the jaw! Down goes Plitt! The ref steps in, and that's the ball game folks!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 4:48 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Superman Punch). John Brophy! An out of breath John Brophy thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
