Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between George Martin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lothar Dornier (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Martin's entrance music is Song of Ice and Fire Art Collection. A fine choice. Dornier comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Prussian March "Frei Weg" kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, George Martin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
4 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Lothar Dornier! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Summer Carpenter and Eliza Hachem.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Martin misses the jab. Dornier misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Martin looks to land a right hand but Dornier moved out of range. Martin connects with the punch. Dornier misses with a jab, cross combination.
Some wild striking there from Dornier.
Martin fakes and then throws a beautiful body shot. Dornier looks a bit winded and takes a step backwards to take a breath. Dornier looks to land a right hand but Martin moved out of range. A slow jab from Dornier misses its intended target. Dornier tries to close the distance and clinch up but Martin swats him away and circles back towards the center. Dornier is looking to clinch. Martin blocks a jab. Lothar Dornier seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Martin lands a glancing blow to the side of Dornier's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Dornier tries a switch kick but it misses it's target. Martin changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Dornier tries to avoid it but Martin manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Dornier to the ground. Dornier escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Dornier misses with an uppercut. Martin fails with the takedown. Dornier throws a head kick but Martin moves out of range.
Dornier wants to clinch up but Martin keeps it at a distance. Dornier drops Martin with a left right combo! Dornier follows him down to the ground into side control.
It looks like George Martin has been cut. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Martin is trying to improve his position. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Martin gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Martin is looking to improve his position.
Dornier really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Martin. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Martin moves his hips nicely and gets into full guard. Dornier trying to control the position from guard on top but Martin is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Martin will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. Martin trying to keep a closed guard but Dornier is proving a slippery customer.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martin tries to land a sweep but no joy. Martin is striking off his back. Dornier thinks nothing of it though and passes easily into half guard. Martin wants to get back to full guard. Martin is working hard here to advance position.
The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Martin works the jab nicely.
That's four minutes gone in the round. A few boos can be heard. I'm sure they will multiply if the fighters don't pick up the pace. Martin misses the jab. A head kick misses from Dornier. Dornier throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Martin looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Dornier working the defensive guard well to avoid strikes from Martin. Martin trying to control the position from guard on top but Dornier is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Martin is looking to work some ground and pound but Dornier has wrist control. Martin tries to free his leg and advance position but Dornier is retaining full guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Lothar Dornier will probably get the nod. The cut man is working on George Martin's cut. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action.
Martin takes a swing at Dornier's ribcage but misses. Dornier keeping his hands up high there, blocking the jab from Martin. Dornier moves in looking to clinch but Martin pushes him off. Martin throws a lazy right hand but Dornier sees it coming a mile off and sidesteps it easily. Dornier misses with an uppercut. Martin fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.
Nice shot by Martin. Dornier misses with a double jab.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Dornier throws the left hand but Martin avoids the punch easily. A shot to de liver by Martin. Beautiful body shot. Dornier misses with a shot to the body and Martin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Dornier staying out of range there.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martin darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Martin throwing punches and elbows but they're not doing any damage. Dornier won't allow Martin to pass to mount. Martin is looking to take a break and control but Dornier is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Martin thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Dornier's head. Martin uses his free foot to push down on Dornier's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Dornier. Dornier wants to control but Martin is having none of it. Martin sends his fist crashing into the mat - the crowd let out a collective ooooooh. Let's hope he's not broken it! Martin working away from the top, dropping strikes. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Martin goes for an armbar but he's fallen flat on his backside there and now Dornier is on top in guard.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martin wants to hit a switch here but Dornier passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Martin there! Martin looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back! Martin has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Martin wants to escape the position.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action. Martin manages to reverse the position and now he's in Dornier's guard. Nice work there by Martin.
Martin in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Dornier wants to stand and escape but Martin is having none of it. Martin drops back, looking for a kneebar! Dornier looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Dornier looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Dornier! Martin tries to get back to half guard but can't. Martin manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
George Martin dominated that second round. The cut man is working on George Martin's cut. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!
Dornier takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness. Martin is using his reach advantage well here, landing the more effective single shots from range. Martin has a nice red mark on his side after a thudding body kick by Dornier. Dornier tries to clinch and Martin counters with a straight right hand. Dornier throws a body punch but Martin moves out of range. Dornier scores with a head kick.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Dornier throws a body kick but he wasn't in range. Dornier misses with a head kick.
Dornier throws an overhand right that lands on Martin's shoulder, as Martin tries to avoid the shot. Martin misses with an uppercut. Dornier saw that one coming. Martin scores with a sloppy right hand. Dornier should have avoided that one. Both fighters are breathing heavily. Dornier misses with a body kick.
That's one minute gone in the round. Martin keeps the fight on the outside. Dornier moves in looking to clinch but Martin pushes him off. Dornier misses with the combination.
Dornier throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Martin lands a head shot. Dornier keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. Dornier throws a head kick that misses. Martin throws a good cross that connects.
That's two minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Martin rushes forward with a series of wild hooks but Dornier moves out of range and avoids them all easily. Martin bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Lothar Dornier seems to be getting the better of the standup. Dornier falls off balance throwing a combination
and Martin counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head. Dornier walks straight into an uppercut. Luckily it didn't land flush. Dornier lands an overhand left. A wild punch that just about connected. Martin has a takedown stuffed. Martin misses with a wild body shot. Dornier slips under a jab from Martin. Dornier throws a head kick but Martin moves out of range.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Martin shoots in and drives through. Dornier sprawls well. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for George Martin. That's going to take a lot out of him. Dornier misses with a looping left. Dornier throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle. Dornier misses with a hook to the body
enabling Martin to counter with a crisp jab. Dornier closes the distance looking to clinch and Martin counters with a straight right hand. Martin shoots in but Dornier avoids the takedown attempt easily. Martin throws a sloppy body shot
and Dornier counters with a good, hard body kick but Martin shrugs it off. Dornier darts in trying to clinch and Martin counters with a nice uppercut.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Dornier instigates a clinch. Martin doesn't land with the attempted body shot.
Dornier has had enough of the clinch but Martin keeps him there for the moment. Dornier can't find room to land a body shot as Martin controls the action.
Martin swings wildly with an uppercut but Dornier uses good head movement to avoid it. Martin misses with the head strike.
Dornier using the Thai plumb to throw knees but Martin has his back arched nicely, preventing the strike.
Martin turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Martin manages to end up in side control. Martin misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Martin goes for an armbar! This could be all over! Wait, no, Dornier rolls with the submission and now he's on top in Martin's guard! Nice work there by Dornier! Dornier must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Dornier is looking to stand up but Martin won't let him.
And that's the end of the fight! Lothar Dornier comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. I think Dornier has won this one but let's see whether the judges agree with me. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
