Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of

4 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, Connor McClosky! The judges for this bout are Tiny Johnson, Chris Downing and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Jones tries to clinch but McClosky moves out of range. McClosky shoots in with a lovely double leg takedown. Jones manages to land in full guard to minimise the damage. McClosky controls the pace of the fight for a moment. McClosky trying to control the position from guard on top but Jones is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. McClosky working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Jones's head. Jones is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. McClosky is aware though and is defending well. McClosky scoring with punches to the head and body. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Jones pulls McClosky in to control the position. Jones looking for submissions from the bottom but instead McClosky passes into side control.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. McClosky tries to advance to mount but Jones denies him.
That's one minute gone in the round. Jones is trying to control McClosky's posture but McClosky avoids it. Jones tries to get back to half guard but can't. McClosky taking a breather here. Jones looking for a sweep but McClosky has passed into full mount! Oh no! Jones defends a decent attempt at a guillotine from McClosky.
That's two minutes gone in the round. There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action. Jones is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. McClosky looking to control and managing it successfully. McClosky trying to control but Jones is having none of it. Jones regains half guard. Jones is trying to get back to full guard. McClosky wants to take a breather but Jones is having none of it.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Jones wants to get back to full guard. Jones looking for submissions off his back. McClosky scoring with strikes to the body and head. McClosky landing with strikes to the body and head, softening up his opponent. Jones trying to control but McClosky postures up.

McClosky must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. McClosky working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Jones is working for submissions here. He's thrown up his legs looking for a triangle but McClosky frees his head nicely. Oh but Jones has switched to an armbar! McClosky is tapping furiously! Lovely submission there!
