The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Turtle shoots in for a double leg but Walsh sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Walsh looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Turtle is looking to stand back up but Walsh counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Turtle.
Walsh looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
Walsh working over Turtle with some ground and pound. Turtle looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Walsh is looking for a kimura but Turtle is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Walsh to get the leverage.
That's one minute gone in the round. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Walsh connects with a nice short shot to Turtle's temple. Walsh lands strikes from half guard. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Walsh lands a nice short elbow. Walsh winds up and cracks Turtle with a swinging punch to the side of the head. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Walsh connects with a nice short shot to Turtle's temple. Walsh seems to be taking a bit of a break to think of his next move. He lands a short punch in the meantime. Walsh wants to work for an arm triangle but Turtle is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Walsh is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Turtle is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
