Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between David Hojackin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Martyn Ford (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters really staring each other down here, as Martyn Ford enters the cage!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 2 - 0, fighting out of New York, David Hojackin! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
9 - 5 - 1, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Martyn Ford! The judges for this bout are Richard Clark, Sam Margolis and Phil Schofield.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hojackin swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hojackin lands a nice looking kick to the body. Ford takes a step back to recover. Ford tries to sprawl but Hojackin drives through with a takedown into half guard. Ford is looking for a sweep. Hojackin is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Ford is trying to maintain the position but Hojackin is very close to passing his half guard. Ford might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hojackin haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Hojackin keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action. Ford tries to roll over but Hojackin keeps him under control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ford looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Hojackin pushes past his half guard into mount! Ford keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.

Hojackin lands with some vicious ground and pound - can Ford hang on? Hojackin scoring with strikes but Ford is staying in there. BOOM! Hojackin connects with a massive shot to the dome!
Ford tries to lock up and control but Hojackin gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away. Hojackin lands with some strikes. Ford keeping his composure momentarily, calmly looking to get back to half guard.
Hojackin wants to control the pace but Ford is squirming around nicely. Ford can't escape the position.
Hojackin cracks Ford with a nasty head shot there - the crowd let out an audible gasp there, as the noise reverberated around the arena.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Ford gets back to half guard. Ford looking for subs from the bottom but Hojackin mounts him! Ford gets back to half guard. Ford actively working from the bottom here. Hojackin is looking to pass the guard... He's managed it - he's now in full mount! The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Hojackin lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
Hojackin landing strikes from the mount and Ford is in trouble! Ford is working to get back to half guard.
Hojackin knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Ford on the ground. Hojackin tries to control but Ford wriggling away.

Ford wants to hold on but Hojackin pushes him away. Ford is trying to escape the mount.
Ford is writhing around trying to get back to his feet. Hojackin fakes a shot to the body and cracks his opponent in the head. Nice ground and pound there!

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Ford looking to work for a kimura from the bottom. Hojackin wants to free his trapped foot but Ford is holding on for dear life with his legs. Ford looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hojackin controlling the action here. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Hojackin dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Hojackin throws a body kick but he was well out of range there. Ford feints the counter takedown. Ford on the wrong end of a nice jab. Hojackin ducks down and throws a hook to the body. Ford tries for a takedown but Hojackin circles away easily and Hojackin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Hojackin catches Ford with a nice straight right. He seems pissed - ooooh, it's on now! On like donkey kong! Ford closes this distance looking for a takedown but Hojackin circles away. Hojackin connects with a leg kick. He turned his hip over nicely there. Ford goes for a double leg but Hojackin avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Hojackin continues to drive forward. David Hojackin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Martyn Ford. Ford looks shocked there as he takes a right hand to the temple. Ford has his takedown stuffed and Hojackin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Ford shoots in looking for a takedown but Hojackin manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Ford's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Ford takes a big uppercut there. He seems a bit wobbly but no, he's OK.
That's one minute gone in the round. A telegraphed takedown attempt from Ford is defended easily by Hojackin. Hojackin swings wildly with a hook that is half blocked by Ford. Ford fails miserably with a takedown attempt. Ford takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Ford gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily and Hojackin connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. David Hojackin seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Ford shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hojackin pinned against the cage. Hojackin gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A swing and a miss from Hojackin. Ford feints the counter takedown. Ford dives in and grabs Hojackin's left leg, looking for a takedown. Hojackin pushes down on Ford's head and hops out. Hojackin misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hojackin throws a leg kick that is checked and Ford decides to take the opportunity to score a takedown. He's landed in Hojackin's guard. Ford postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Hojackin is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of Ford, into his guard.
Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show! Hojackin slows down the pace of the fight for a moment. He'll need to remain active if he doesn't want to see the fight stood back up. Hojackin tries to free his leg and advance position but Ford is retaining full guard.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Ford is trying to hold Hojackin in close to prevent damage but Hojackin has managed to pass into half guard.
Ford actively working from the bottom here. Hojackin scores with a couple of good hammerfists. Hojackin working Ford over with strikes. Ford is looking to improve his position.
Ford wants to control but Hojackin is keeping busy.
Hojackin winds up and cracks Ford with a swinging punch to the side of the head. Hojackin is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ford can do to turn this around? Ford is trying to maintain the position but Hojackin is very close to passing his half guard. Ford is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Hojackin pulls his head out easily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ford is not content to let Hojackin control the position. Ford actively working from the bottom here. Hojackin trying to control from half guard but Ford is working away. Ford is looking to regain full guard. Not this time though. The referee walks around the fighters to get a better view of the action. Hojackin lands a nice short elbow. Ford looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hojackin takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
David Hojackin dominated that second round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action. This is the final round!

Ford shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Hojackin sprawls well. Hojackin wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Ford gets slowly back to his feet. Hojackin is looking to land body kicks. Ford closes the distance and clinches up with Hojackin, looking for a takedown. Ford pushes Hojackin against the cage but Hojackin circles to the side and manages to break the clinch. Ford looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Hojackin is fending him off so far but Ford persists. Nope, Hojackin circles away and we're back to standing. David Hojackin has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Martyn Ford. Good exchange - Hojackin coming out on top. Nice jab there from Hojackin. Ford shoots in for a takedown but Hojackin shows good takedown defense. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hojackin keeps the fight standing with a nice sprawl. It looks like Hojackin has been trying to sharpen up his punching technique, as it looks crisper than last time we saw him. David Hojackin is winning the standup battle so far. Ford throws the overhand right but ducks down into a quick takedown attempt. Hojackin was covering up waiting for the punch and Ford finishes the takedown easily into guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Ford drops back looking for a submission - "I'm sorry sir, but I'm gunna break your leg" says Ford as he cranks on the unfortunate limb! Hojackin screams and taps out before any major damage is done! Don't mess with Ford! Nice submission victory there!
