Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Mitch Pace (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Tim Hightower Jr (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Mitch Pace! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Tim Hightower Jr! The judges for this bout are Timothy Bukovac, Don Winkell and Frank Antenori.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Hightower Jr throws a sloppy head kick and Pace moves out of range easily. Hightower Jr looking to score a takedown here. Pace is defending well but Hightower Jr drives through and ends up in Pace's guard. Pace is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive. Pace really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape. Hightower Jr wants to pass the guard but Pace is keeping the position. Hightower Jr trying to control the position from guard on top but Pace is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Pace wants to sweep here but Hightower Jr controlling him for the moment. Pace throws some sloppy strikes off his back.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Pace lands an upkick as Hightower Jr stands over him. Hightower Jr won't allow Pace to sweep him here. Hightower Jr trying to control but Pace is working from the bottom. Pace is trying to hold Hightower Jr in close to prevent damage but Hightower Jr has managed to pass into half guard.
That's one minute gone in the round. Pace throws a strike from the bottom that misses.

Hightower Jr tries to pass the half guard into mount. Pace knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Pace looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Hightower Jr trying to mount his opponent but Pace defends it. The fighters are battling for position here. Pace manages to regain full guard. Nice work. Pace throwing his legs up looking for a triangle.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Pace is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent. Pace manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Hightower Jr manages to get himself to full guard.
Hightower Jr is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Pace landing with the ground and pound. Pace will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions. The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily. Pace chips away with some ground and pound. Hightower Jr pulls Pace in close to his closed guard and prevents Pace from doing any damage or advancing position.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pace trying to control the position from guard on top but Hightower Jr is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Hightower Jr wants to control but instead he gets his guard passed and Pace is now in half guard. Nice strikes from Pace there. Pace lands with a punch from half guard. Pace working over Hightower Jr with some ground and pound. Hightower Jr looks like he wants out of this position, which is understandable. Hightower Jr looks winded! Hightower Jr is defending against the submission attempts here by Pace.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Ground and pound from Pace. The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Pace connects with a nice short shot to Hightower Jr's temple. Pace seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense. Hightower Jr wants to control but Pace is keeping busy and won't allow it. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Mitch Pace dominated that round. The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
Pace takes a punch right to his stomach. That took the wind out of him momentarily. Pace looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Hightower Jr! Pace taking a breather here. Pace scoring with punches from side control. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Hightower Jr is looking to reverse the position. Pace in side control, just content to control the action for now. Hightower Jr manages to get one leg in to regain half guard.

Pace is looking for a kimura but Hightower Jr is holding onto that half guard position, so it's hard for Pace to get the leverage. Pace working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Pace has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Pace lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears. Pace working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that. Pace keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.

Pace is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Hightower Jr can do to turn this around? Pace breaks from Hightower Jr's wrist control and lands an elbow. Pace raining down hammerfists from mount.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pace controlling from the full mount. Pace is still in mount, landing shots to his trapped opponent. Hightower Jr can't stay in a position like this for much longer.
Pace lands a couple of good shots and Hightower Jr has given up his back, trying to escape the position! Hightower Jr really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Pace. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. Pace looking for the RNC. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Pace connects with a big shot to the side of Hightower Jr's head.

That's one minute gone in the round. Pace is working Hightower Jr over with some ground and pound from side control. Pace cracks Hightower Jr with a big right hand but Hightower Jr just smiles back at him and invites him to have another go.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Pace working the ground and pound. Hightower Jr is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Hightower Jr takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Hightower Jr trying to control but Pace flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Hightower Jr showing good submission defense here.
Pace is looking for the choke from the back position but Hightower Jr is controlling his hands well.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Pace trying to control. Pace throwing strikes from the back - he gets a warning from the referee for striking the back of the head but all these shots are hurting Hightower Jr!
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Pace gets his hands free as Hightower Jr looks to control. Hightower Jr tries to break free.
Pace is looking to finish with some ground and pound! Pace controls the action.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Pace is throwing punches to the body, looking to soften Hightower Jr up.
Pace is landing with strikes from the back. Pace lands with a hammerfist to the side of Hightower Jr's head. Pace lands an elbow to the side of the head. A lull in the action here.
Hightower Jr is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Pace is throwing strikes from the back here. Oh that last one was to the back of the head. Pace gets a warning from the referee. He throws another strike to the back of the head straight away though and the referee has seen enough. He breaks up the two fighters and stands them back up. Pace gets a real talking to here and is lucky not to get a point deducted. Pace apologises and we restart here on the feet.
Pace scores with a takedown into Hightower Jr's guard. Pace lands a couple of digs. Pace lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Pace working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Hightower Jr's head. Pace scores with a decent looking elbow strike. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Pace distracts Hightower Jr with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm. Pace passes Hightower Jr's left leg - he's now in half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Mitch Pace showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Pace, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
