Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Boris Em (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kendrick Perkins (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Perkins shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Em's guard.

Perkins drops back looking for a leg! Em is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Em manages to kick Perkins off! Perkins jumps back into Em's guard.

Perkins thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Perkins has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

Perkins got a little sloppy there for a moment and Em has worked his way into a loose triangle - can he finish it?! No, Perkins has managed to get both his arms back between Em's legs - danger averted.

Perkins decides to stand up and beckons his opponent to follow.

Both fighters are looking to counter, which isn't making for the most exciting fight in the world.

Perkins thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
Em is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Perkins's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Perkins is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Em defends it well.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.

Perkins displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Em throws out the jab.

And Perkins tries to counter it with a takedown but Em pushes his down on his head and steps out.

Em closes the distance and looks for a trip takedown... aaaand he's got it - Em lands in his opponent's guard.
