And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Lou da Vinci, Reed Andrews and Jorge Garcia.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McDiaz takes a shot to the eye socket. That's gotta hurt.
McDiaz wants to clinch.
McDiaz rushes in with a sloppy looking punch
and Nikolov counters with a nice uppercut.
McDiaz clinches.
Nikolov looks more muscular than last time we saw him. He must have been on the weights.
McDiaz blocking some punches.
Nikolov tries to break the clinch but McDiaz is controlling the position.
McDiaz breaks from the clinch.
McDiaz is looking to clinch.
A jab from McDiaz misses.
A little jabbing left from Nikolov on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
McDiaz misses with a hook to the body
and Nikolov connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle.
Nate McDiaz seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Nikolov sends McDiaz crashing to the mat with a devastating uppercut! Nikolov is motioning to the referee to let McDiaz up. He wants to try and finish this one on the feet!
McDiaz is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Nikolov thuds a left hand into McDiaz's body.
Oh McDiaz is still all over the place! His legs are completely gone! Will he be able to recover?!!
McDiaz slips a jab and a cross from Nikolov.
McDiaz seems to have got his legs back now.
McDiaz tries to clinch but Nikolov is having none of it.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Nikolov cracks McDiaz with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! McDiaz looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Nikolov finish him?
Nikolov lands a straight punch to the body, keeping McDiaz at a distance.
McDiaz scores with a jab to the head.
McDiaz tries to clinch but Nikolov moves out of range.
McDiaz throws a right hand that misses
and Nikolov counters with a nice right hand that sends McDiaz toppling to the canvas! McDiaz scrambles and gets back to his feet - can Nikolov finish him?!
This has been an exciting period of action!
Nikolov lunges in with a left hook that violently twists McDiaz head around and knocks him out cold! Nikolov hops onto the cage and yells out at the top of his lungs - Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaaaaah! They're showing the replay on the big screens now; that was nasty! I hope one of the photographers got a good shot of it.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Nikolay Nikolov!
