Coming up we have a featherweight MMA rules bout between Nelson Hahn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Genedy Provikin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Genedy Provikin has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the featherweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Nelson Hahn!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Genedy Provikin!
The judges for this bout are Arvi Lind, Johanna Lukiainen and Anni Minnemäki.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Provikin throws a sloppy head kick and Hahn moves out of range easily.
Horrible takedown attempt by Provikin or perhaps it was just good defense by Hahn, which made it look bad.
Hahn went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
Hahn avoids a low kick by using good footwork.

The fight moves into the clinch position.
Hahn effectively controlling the action here.
Hahn wants a takedown but no success here.
Hahn is trying to work for a single leg takedown but Provikin pulls him back up using the underhooks.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Hahn successfully pulls guard.

Provikin decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Hahn, up you get!
Provikin dives in for a single leg takedown but Hahn sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.
Provikin closes the distance and clinches up with Hahn, looking for a takedown. Provikin pushes Hahn against the cage but Hahn circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
Nelson Hahn has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Genedy Provikin.

Provikin looking to score a takedown here. Hahn is defending well but Provikin drives through and ends up in Hahn's guard.
Hahn controls Provikin momentarily but Provikin frees himself.
Provikin works over Hahn with some ground and pound from guard.

Provikin gets to his feet - Hahn follows without any prompting.
Provikin shoots in but no luck this time.
Hahn tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Provikin manages to circle out of the way.
Provikin closes the distance and lands a one-two.
Hahn takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Hahn tries to close the distance and clinch up but Provikin swats him away and circles back towards the center.

Provikin moves into range and clinches up with Hahn.
Hahn jumps guard but Provikin turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
The crowd are loving this. Great action here.
Hahn is working for takedown but Provikin is calmly controlling the position for now.

Provikin has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Hahn clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Hahn manages to reverse the position and now he's in Provikin's guard. Nice work there by Hahn.

Provikin avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Provikin pulls Hahn in close to his closed guard and prevents Hahn from doing any damage or advancing position.

Provikin will have to put a bit more behind his punches if he's going to do any damage from this position.

Hahn stands up over Provikin, holding his feet. He dives back in and lands a decent shot to the head.
Hahn throws a big right hand that misses.

A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd.
Hahn is looking to work some ground and pound but Provikin has wrist control.
Provikin has momentary wrist control but Hahn slips an elbow through the middle.

Provikin looking for a guillotine here but Hahn defends easily.
We get told so often about how wrestlers don't like to be on their backs. Let's see if Provikin can do anything to dispel that myth.
Hahn preventing the sweep.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Provikin is looking to sweep but instead, Hahn has passed into half guard.
Hahn throwing shots but they're hitting the canvas more than the man.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Genedy Provikin will probably get the nod.

Provikin is standing up over Hahn. Hahn looks to escape but Provikin dives into side control.

Hahn throws a couple of punches but he's in a bad position and they don't land.
Provikin wants to lay and pray for a moment but Hahn keeps working.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Provikin tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Provikin has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!

Provikin keeping composed on the top, looking to control the action.
Provikin has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
The fighters are battling for position here. Hahn manages to regain full guard. Nice work.
Hahn is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.

Hahn is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Hahn wants to hit a switch here but Provikin passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Hahn there!
Provikin lands a big shot there that rocks Hahn but he's holding on and managing to survive for now.

Provikin stands up from mount. Strange move.
Hahn shoots and misses
and Provikin counters with a lovely shot to the body.
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.
Provikin tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Hahn defends well and Provikin ends up having to push Hahn into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Provikin shoots in with a takedown attempt and he has Hahn pinned against the cage. Hahn gets the underhooks and manages to circle away.

Hahn is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Provikin.
Provikin drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Hahn defends it well.

The referee is keeping an eye on Provikin - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Provikin breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Provikin throws a body kick but he was well out of range there.
Provikin shoots in but Hahn avoids the takedown attempt easily.
Hahn tries to clinch up but Provikin circles away and keeps his distance.

Provikin forces Hahn back against the cage and clinches.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Hahn goes for a takedown in the clinch but Provikin prevents it.
Provikin gets double underhooks to prevent a takedown attempt from Hahn.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Genedy Provikin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action. This is the final round!

A nice side step and Provikin releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Hahn defends well against a solid takedown attempt from Provikin.

Provikin keeps the fight in the clinch, despite Hahn's efforts to push away.
Hahn connects with a nasty looking knee right to Provikin's face.

Hahn blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning.
Provikin is defending well against a takedown attempt.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Provikin breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.

Hahn takes a hook to the side of the head. I wonder if that's got his ears ringing.

Hahn drives through with a takedown into Provikin's guard. Let's see what he can do from the top position.

Both fighters are breathing heavily.
Provikin preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.

Hahn has a momentary lapse of concentration, allowing Provikin to throw up a leg and lock on what appears to be a pretty tight triangle! Hahn is fighting it off but it's all too little too late - Provikin pulls down on the head and he's put Hahn to sleep! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:48 of round 3, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Genedy Provikin!
