McDonnell's entrance music is Bloc Party - Ares (Remix). A fine choice. Vladimir Parasenko has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
4 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Rory McDonnell! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
6 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Vladimir Parasenko! The judges for this bout are Illya Tyunina, Aleksei Zolotukhin and Fedor Mirinova.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Parasenko throws a lazy uppercut
and McDonnell counters with a nice low kick that buckles Parasenko's knee momentarily. McDonnell thumps Parasenko with a low kick. Parasenko throws a poor cross that misses
and McDonnell counters with a nice body kick. McDonnell with a jab. Parasenko misses with a left hand and McDonnell makes the exchange count by landing a cracking kick to the body. Parasenko really felt that one! McDonnell bobs and weaves well there to avoid the strikes. McDonnell lands with a nice low kick. That'll leave a bruise. A nice leg kick lands there from McDonnell. McDonnell getting the better of the striking in that exchange. Parasenko misses with a jab to the body
and McDonnell counters with an outside leg kick.
McDonnell slips under a jab from Parasenko. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Parasenko takes a nice looking leg kick right on the meat of his thigh there.
McDonnell scores with a straight right hand, right through his opponent's guard. Ouch! a nice leg kick from McDonnell, right into the meat.
McDonnell turns his hip over beautifully as he lands a nice leg kick. Parasenko misses with a lunging right hand
letting McDonnell counter with a right hand.
That's one minute gone in the round. Parasenko misses with a left hand and McDonnell counters with a quick right hand to the jaw. McDonnell lands with a nice body kick. McDonnell throws a mid kick that lands with a slap. Parasenko looks winded! McDonnell moves into the clinch successfully.
McDonnell blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. With the fighters clinched against the cage, McDonnell creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. A shot in the inside from McDonnell. McDonnell lands a shoulder strike that jolts his opponent's head backwards. Parasenko taking a breather. McDonnell pushes Parasenko back against the cage and unloads with a body punch. Parasenko takes a shot to the head. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. McDonnell slows down the pace here.
A short right from McDonnell. McDonnell blocks a knee to the body. He'll have a nicely bruised forearm in the morning. McDonnell displaying some good clinch control by pressing Parasenko up against the cage. Parasenko throws an elbow that misses.
Parasenko has been looking to improve his clinch game in recent weeks. McDonnell seems to have the measure of him in the clinch so far, so let's see if Parasenko can turn it around.
That's two minutes gone in the round. McDonnell scores with a nice hook to the head. McDonnell has Parasenko pressed against the cage.
McDonnell's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does. McDonnell cracks the inside of Parasenko's front leg. Parasenko sees a low kick coming and goes to check it, but it's actually a body kick and it thuds into his unprotected ribs. A thudding body kick lands there by McDonnell!
McDonnell with a hook. Parasenko steps to his left, right into the path of a big body kick from McDonnell. That one must have hurt. McDonnell moves into range and lands a nice body kick.
Parasenko stumbles momentarily as he takes a strong leg kick from McDonnell. McDonnell drops Parasenko with a hook right on the temple. He thinks about going to the ground but Parasenko looks back up at him and smiles so McDonnell waves him back to his feet - he obviously thinks he can knock him out after that shot landed.
Parasenko is rocked! McDonnell throws a leg kick which misses Parasenko's front leg but catches the back leg as Parasenko tries to avoid it. Parasenko is still on wobbly legs! Can McDonnell finish him? Parasenko has developed a nice purple lump on his ribcage, as a result of some heavy body kicks from McDonnell. Parasenko misses with a hook
and McDonnell counters with a nice body kick. Parasenko is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. McDonnell doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Parasenko crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Parasenko's bad books for that mishap!
