Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Spanky Edgar (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hotaka Yoshida (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Edgar comes to the cage accompanied by Kick In The Door. Yoshida comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Arsone kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! Spanky Edgar has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Yoshida pulls out of a head kick attempt.
We've been hearing reports that Edgar has been drilling takedowns in recent sessions so let's see if that has an impact on the result of this fight.

Yoshida takes a body punch that cleary hurt but he's trying not to show any weakness.
Edgar lands a really nice looking cross but Yoshida seems unphased.

Yoshida looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Edgar is fending him off so far but Yoshida persists. Nope, Edgar circles away and we're back to standing.
Spanky Edgar has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Hotaka Yoshida.

Edgar was looking to counter that move with a punch but didn't quite pull the trigger.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

Yoshida throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Edgar's waist but Edgar gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Yoshida off to one side.
