Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Sexton Hardcastle (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Ryan McCarthy (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hardcastle comes to the cage accompanied by How I Could Just Kill a Man- Rage Against the Machine. Sexton Hardcastle could well score a knockout today. He has the power to get to Ryan McCarthy's chin.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
McCarthy misses with a shot to the body
and Hardcastle counters with a left to the body.
Ryan McCarthy seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
McCarthy lands with a good body shot.
Hardcastle connects with a lovely jab that went straight through the gap between McCarthy's hands.

McCarthy moves forwards but Hardcastle connects with a nice, crisp jab.

McCarthy pulls Hardcastle in close to prevent any damage.

We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup.

Hardcastle shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in McCarthy's guard.
McCarthy bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Hardcastle's guard.
Hardcastle throws a couple of shots from the bottom but they don't land.
McCarthy is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

McCarthy stands and throws Hardcastle's legs to the side, diving into side control.

The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Hardcastle wants to control but McCarthy postures up.
The referee asks McCarthy politely if he wouldn't mind getting on with it and actually doing something. McCarthy prefers to stall for the moment though.

McCarthy thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead.
McCarthy wants to control but Hardcastle is keeping him busy.

McCarthy might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Hardcastle haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Hardcastle is looking to slip a leg under and get half guard but McCarthy is one step ahead and moves to full mount!

Well McCarthy has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
