Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Jay Hunter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Peter Knapp (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Hunter comes into the arena with Cyprus Hill - Hits From the Bong blaring out of the sound system. Knapp has chosen Go to Sleep as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Buckle up people - heeeeeeeeeere we go!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Paulsen Ambrosius, Aafke Stam and Radbod Blank.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Hunter throws a body kick that misses.
A big left from Knapp misses.
Hunter throws a big counter combination but Knapp scrambles out of danger and avoids any damage.
Knapp scores with a nice strike.
Hunter takes a jab right on the kisser.
Knapp throws a shot from downtown. Hunter moves away and avoids it.
A looping hook to the body misses from Knapp. Hunter does a little dance to reset his feet.
Knapp tries to clinch but is not successful on this occasion.
Knapp fails with a takedown attempt.
Hunter has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Knapp throws the kick towards the body but Hunter avoids it.
Hunter swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

A frustrated look appears on Knapp's face as he tries to break the clinch.
Knapp wants to break free but Hunter has control.

Knapp is trying to break the clinch but Hunter is controlling him.
Hunter pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Hunter throws a wild body kick that Knapp sees coming a mile off.
Hunter steps to the side to avoid the strikes from Knapp.

It looks like Jay Hunter has been cut.
Hunter misses with a low kick as Knapp jumps back.
Knapp tries to clinch up against the ropes, rushing in to close the distance. Hunter manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Knapp is looking to clinch but Hunter is avoiding it.
A slow jab from Knapp misses its intended target.
Peter Knapp seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Hunter tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but Knapp defends well and Hunter ends up having to push Knapp into the ropes where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Knapp loads up on a big right hand but Hunter slips the punch.

Knapp moves in looking to clinch but Hunter pushes him off.
Hunter throws a chopping leg kick but Knapp manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Knapp! But no joy.
Knapp throws the left hand but Hunter avoids the punch easily.
Knapp fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Hunter on the side of the head.
Nice takedown defense from Hunter. No joy for Knapp on that attempt.
Hunter lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out!
Hunter throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
It looks like Peter Knapp has been cut.
Knapp throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Hunter sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Hunter misses with a few strikes there.
Knapp throws a body shot but no joy.

and Hunter counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Knapp swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Hunter tries a head kick but it misses.
Knapp moves out of range of the leg kick from Hunter.
Knapp takes a shot right to the liver - Bas would have been proud of that punch.

Knapp looks for a takedown but Hunter sprawls well.

The fighters circle momentarily. Knapp darts into range and connects with a nice straight punch.

Hunter smiles there as he lands a nice right hand right on the button.

Knapp shoots in for a takedown but Hunter shows good takedown defense.

and Hunter counters with a head kick. That will keep Knapp thinking before he tries any more sloppy attacks!

Knapp misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.
Hunter throws a head kick that misses.
Hunter dodges the punch combination from Knapp.
A combination from Knapp does no damage.
Knapp tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Hunter was well out of range. Poor timing from Knapp.

Hunter throws a left and a right that both miss
and Knapp counters with a quick right hand to the jaw.
Hunter ducks under an overhand right and circles away with a smile on his face.
Hunter moves out of range as Knapp strikes.
Knapp throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Hunter.
Knapp misses with a looping left.
Hunter went nuts there looking for a big combo counter but none of the flurry connected.
A telegraphed takedown attempt from Knapp is defended easily by Hunter.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Peter Knapp will probably get the nod.
Both fighters have cut men working on them during the interval.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Hunter tries to bum rush Knapp with a series of wild strikes but Knapp uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

Wooooo! Give it up for these two warriors! They are putting on a show!

Knapp wings a very wild body shot but it does the job and lands to the midsection.

Knapp takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Hunter slips a jab and a cross from Knapp.
Knapp throws a lazy head kick
and Hunter counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work.
Knapp is breathing heavily.
No luck for Hunter with that takedown attempt.

and Hunter counters with a two punch combo.
Knapp takes a kick to the side of the head.
Knapp is rocked!
Knapp closes the distance looking to clinch
enabling Hunter to counter with a crisp jab.
Knapp is still on wobbly legs! Can Hunter finish him?
This has been an exciting period of action!
Knapp is sent reeling backwards by a solid uppercut. He barely regains his balance and Hunter moves in for the kill throwing a continuous barrage of punches that force the ref to step in.
Ladies and gentlemen, after 2:55 of round 2, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Jay Hunter!
