Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
NKone gets a double leg takedown into Byrd's guard.
NKone is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.
Byrd wants to sweep but no luck.
NKone keeps in close for a moment and lands a decent shot to the side of Byrd's head.
NKone trying to control the position from guard on top but Byrd is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.
Byrd wants to hit a switch here but NKone passes into full mount! Oh no, disaster for Byrd there!

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

NKone has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Byrd's face.

Byrd is desperately trying to get back to half guard.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
NKone tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.
NKone lands a shot to the body, followed up by a shot to the exposed head of his trapped opponent.
The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now.
Byrd tries to reverse the position but NKone maintains control.

It seemed like NKone was going to counter with the hook but didn't fully commit to it.
NKone throws a body punch but Byrd moves out of range.

Byrd jinks towards his opponent looking like he wants to counter with a mid kick but doesn't commit.
Nice uppercut there from NKone.
A decent looking body kick lands there for Byrd.
Byrd digs a good hook to NKone's body.

Byrd gets caught napping as NKone dives in and scores a takedown. Byrd manages to retain guard.
Byrd escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. NKone gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

Byrd is working hard here to advance position.
NKone is looking to work some ground and pound but Byrd has wrist control.
NKone postures up as if he's going to throw some strikes but drops back for an ankle! Byrd is in big trouble! He looks ready to tap! But no, he's escaped and dives on top of NKone, into his guard.
NKone is trying to keep Byrd in close.
Byrd advances position into side control!
NKone manages to land a sweep and he's now on top! Lovely Jiu Jitsu!

Byrd is doing well to control the position and prevent NKone from advancing to side control.
NKone missing with some ground and pound from the half guard.
NKone thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed Byrd's head.
Byrd is looking to control NKone's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Byrd avoid being mounted?
Byrd is trying to get back to full guard.
NKone in half guard on the top. He's looking for a kimura... He's got it locked and he's managed to free his trapped foot. Byrd tries to escape but it's on too tight and he has to tap! Great BJJ skills there from NKone!
