The judges for this bout are Leandro Rodrigues, Luis Engracia and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Johnson connects with a solid leg kick.
Johnson looks really tired already! That doesn't bode well for a good, competitive fight!
Gracie missing with a left hand there. Johnson was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.

Gracie tries to move to mount but Johnson blocks the move with his legs.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Gracie is looking to finish here, going for an Americana. Johnson knows the correct defense though, so he's OK.

Gracie looks up at the clock and then as Johnson takes his cue and looks up at the clock too, Gracie smacks him right in the chops with a big elbow! How rude!

As the round comes to an end the crowd are showing their appreciation for a great round of action.
Johnson is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Gracie's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Gracie. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
Gracie is working hard to pass the guard. He's done it - he's now in full mount! Trouble for Johnson!
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.
The fight moves into the clinch position.
Johnson tries to pull guard but can't drag his opponent to the mat. Gracie just stands there and leans against the cage.
Gracie tries for a takedown but Johnson manages to get underhooks.

Johnson tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. Gracie smiles and moves away.
Gracie changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Johnson looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.

Johnson turning a nasty shade of purple. He's refusing to tap but he's gone! He's out! The ref rips Gracie off and cradles Johnson's limp body as Gracie celebrates with his corner.
