Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Harold Wall (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Michael Ying (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Michael Ying has the power to score a knockout today if he connects clean with Harold Wall's chin.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Harold Wall!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Michael Ying!
The judges for this bout are Yuuki Gou, Sosuke Kotani and Yukihiro Shimada.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

A momentary lapse in concentration from Wall enables Ying to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wall manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Wall pulls Ying in to control the position.
Wall really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Ying stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Wall swivels though and keeps the full guard.
Wall keeping moving, preventing Ying from controlling successfully.
Wall preventing the ground and pound from doing any damage.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Ying won't allow Wall to sweep him here.
Ying trying to control but Wall is working from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.

Wall instigates a clinch.

Ying gets control of Wall's arms and successfully pulls guard. Ying will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.

Ying is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Wall defends well.

Ying wants to stand and escape but Wall is having none of it.

If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup.

Ying tries to keep at a distance but Wall has taken the fight into the clinch.

Ying blocks a head kick by Wall.

Wall gets caught on his heels momentarily as he allows Ying to score an easy takedown into full guard.

Ying wants to stand but Wall has a closed guard, so he can't escape.

Wall pulls Ying in close to prevent any damage.
Ying trying to control but Wall is working from the bottom.

Ying throws an elbow that misses. Wall uses the momentum to reverse the position. He's now in Ying's guard. Nice move by Wall!

The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Ying working for a triangle but Wall defends it easily.
Wall is stalling in the full guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close round but I would say that Harold Wall will probably get the nod.

Wall fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Ying manages to avoid it.
Ying tries to grapple but his opponent circles
and Wall counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.
Ying tries to clinch but fails miserably

and Wall counters with a single leg into guard. Ying didn't expect that.
Wall slows down the pace of the fight, as he sits in guard.

Wall gets to his feet - Ying follows without any prompting.
Harold Wall is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Wall rushes Ying and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch.

Ying has clasped his hands together around Wall's back... aaand, he's got a takedown into side control. Nicely done.
Ying misses with an attempted head punch from side control.

Ying decides to stand up, so the ref orders Wall to his feet.

Wall has double underhooks and is working for a body lock takedown. He's got it. The fighters land in half guard but Ying regains guard immediately.
Ying is looking to stand back up... there's a bit of a scramble and Wall dives into side control.
Wall will need to keep those long limbs tucked in whilst he's on the ground, to prevent any submissions.

The crowd are loving this. Great action here.

The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Ying is pushing Wall's head away, looking to escape. Wall manages to hold on to the position though.

Wall is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Ying can do to turn this around?

Wall works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
Wall is staying tight to Ying's torso, preventing him from escaping.

Wall decides to stand up, so the ref orders Ying to his feet.
Ying is breathing heavily.

Wall shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Wall showed some decent athleticism there.

Wall stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Ying to get to his feet.

Wall shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Ying is trying to defend but Wall finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.

Wall winds up and cracks Ying with a swinging punch to the side of the head.

Michael Ying seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Ying throws out a loose jab but Wall uses good head movement to avoid it.
Wall misses with a double jab.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Wall drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.
Wall happy to just control the position for now.

Wall decides to take the fight back to the feet.

Wall rushes Ying and presses him up against the cage.

Wall has dropped down and is working for a takedown. Ying is trying to keep an underhook but Wall manages to get the takedown into half guard.
Ying is looking for a sweep. Wall is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.
Ying trying to control but Wall postures up.
Wall controlling the action here.
Wall's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground.

Wall seems to have lost interest with the ground game and is thinking about standing back up.

It looks like the ref is thinking about a standup.

Ying takes an elbow right on the bridge of the nose and winces in pain.

Wall has had enough of the ground for now and decides to stand.
