Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Jewell Witt (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kyle Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rumors backstage are that the fighters have been paid to keep it standing but we know that would never happen in MMA!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 3 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Jewell Witt! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Kyle Johnson! The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Valeri Chadov and Sergei Dronov.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Johnson darts in and lands a nice takedown into half guard. Johnson seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Witt does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back. Witt trying to hold on to Johnson's head to control him but Johnson postures up.
Johnson tries to pass the half guard into mount. Witt knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Johnson tries to stand but can't do so whilst Witt controls his leg. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Johnson is looking for a kimura. It's going to be difficult to finish that from half guard though and Witt defends it well. Johnson is trying to control. Witt wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Johnson closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Witt did well to prevent Johnson getting side control. That's four minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. Poor strikes thrown by Johnson there. More accuracy and less frantic strikes would help!

Kyle Johnson dominated that round. That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.

Witt seem to be loading up, looking for a big counter. Johnson shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Johnson showed some decent athleticism there. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson seems to be looking for submissions.

Kyle Johnson seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Witt keeps the fight on the outside. Witt on the receiving end of a decent leg kick there by Johnson. Johnson obviously looking to wear him down.
Johnson throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Witt on the side of the head. Johnson misses with a double jab.

Witt could do with losing a few pounds - he looks very soft around the mid section, to put it politely. Johnson is controlling the pace.

Kyle Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Johnson manages to get an easy takedown there - catching Witt on his heels. He'll look to pass Witt's guard now, I'm sure. Johnson wants to control from the top but Witt keeps moving. Johnson pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. That's two minutes gone in the round. Johnson is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Witt is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Witt has escaped and now he's on top!

That's three minutes gone in the round. Witt stays in close to Johnson's body and controls the position. We've had a lack of effective grappling in the last minute or so, which could well see a referee standup. Johnson looking to control the pace of the fight rather than finish it.

And that's the end of the fight! Kyle Johnson comfortably won the final round on my scorecard. Well Johnson has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
