Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Marco Denolo (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jason ReConnor (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Marco Denolo!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 3 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Jason ReConnor!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, Sam Margolis and Steven Brown.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Denolo tries to drive through with a takedown attempt but ReConnor defends well and Denolo ends up having to push ReConnor into the cage where they will battle it out in the clinch.
Denolo throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around ReConnor's waist but ReConnor gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Denolo off to one side.
Denolo tries for a takedown but ReConnor sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.
That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Marco Denolo. That's going to take a lot out of him.
Denolo misses with a leg kick

and ReConnor counters with a nice double leg into half guard.
Denolo is in trouble now - ReConnor has advanced to mount!
ReConnor with the ground and pound from mount.

ReConnor is looking to secure an arm. He's managed it! He's pivoting for an armbar - that looks tight! But Denolo has managed to get out of it and now he's in a dominant position. Nice work from Denolo!
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Denolo throwing shots from guard but he's hitting more mat than opponent.
ReConnor can't keep his opponent in guard - Denolo advances to half guard, no doubt looking to mount.

ReConnor looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.
ReConnor is looking for a sweep. Denolo is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

ReConnor works his way to full guard. Good work.
Denolo works a leg free and moves into half guard.
Denolo sitting in half guard, looking to land shots. ReConnor defending well though.

Denolo is trying to work for a kimura but ReConnor is defending well.

Denolo is working for submissions here but there's nothing on.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Denolo seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but ReConnor does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.

Denolo looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.
ReConnor keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound.

Denolo is keen to just control but ReConnor is a slippery customer.
Denolo trying to mount his opponent but ReConnor defends it.

Denolo seems to be looking for submissions.

Denolo is working for a kimura but ReConnor is defending it quite comfortably.

ReConnor wants to improve his position but Denolo is controlling well.
Denolo thows a huge punch but ReConnor dodges it nicely.

Denolo is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

ReConnor looking for submissions from an awkward position here.
Denolo wants to lay and pray for a moment but ReConnor keeps working.

ReConnor is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Denolo pulls his head out easily.
Still in half guard, Denolo seems content to control.

Denolo is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, ReConnor has managed to free his arm - good work.
Denolo is keen to just control but ReConnor is a slippery customer.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Denolo thumps the canvas. Not on purpose obviously - he just missed ReConnor's head.
Denolo not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Denolo is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. ReConnor doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Denolo.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

A close round but Jason ReConnor will probably get the nod.

Denolo tries a head kick but it misses.

and ReConnor counters with a nice double leg into side control. Denolo won't be happy with that.
ReConnor misses with a strike but at least he's keeping busy, looking to cause some damage - that will still help him when it comes to the judges scorecards.
Jason ReConnor has got the better of the ground game so far.

ReConnor has worked his way into a potential kimura here. Denolo is trying to get out of the position but his squirming has just got him deeper into trouble. ReConnor yanks on the arm and Denolo is forced to tap due to a very painful looking submission! Nice work by ReConnor.
