Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Chris Eoa (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Lugh Blackburn (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Eoa comes to the cage accompanied by Our Lady Peace - Whatever. Blackburn has chosen When the Man Comes Down as his entrance music, which hasn't gone down very well with the crowd. Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Eoa uses good head movement to avoid the hook from Blackburn.

Eoa feinted there with a counter leg kick.
Eoa closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Blackburn did well to prevent Eoa getting side control.
Eoa is trying to control. Blackburn wants to improve his position but can't escape this time.
Blackburn felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.

Eoa stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Blackburn swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Eoa content to sit in guard, stalling... Great. Oh but he could get punished here because Blackburn has locked up a guillotine! Blackburn's face is contorted as he sqeezes tight on the submission attempt - will he finish? Eoa is holding on here and Blackburn must be using up a lot of energy. Eoa has gone limp! He's out! He's out cold! Blackburn gets to his feet, tossing aside his stricken foe. Arms raised, he milks the applause from the crowd. Great submission!
