Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Diego Brandao (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Shinya Aoki (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters will be looking to make this an exciting fight for the fans, I'm sure!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Aoki swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
letting Brandao counter with a right hand.
Aoki tries to keep at a distance but Brandao has taken the fight into the clinch.
A quick uppercut on the inside from Brandao.
Brandao's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.
Aoki closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Brandao did well to prevent Aoki getting side control.

Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Aoki is looking to control Brandao's arms but Brandao gets an underhook and turns him. Now Aoki has his back to the cage.
Brandao breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Brandao throws a sloppy head kick and Aoki moves out of range easily.

Aoki changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Brandao looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better.
Aoki is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Brandao is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.
In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Aoki working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though.

Aoki wants to lay and pray for a moment but Brandao keeps working.
Brandao is working hard to escape and get back to his feet. After a battle for position, Aoki asserts his dominance and retains side control.

Brandao definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
Brandao has butterfly guard. He's looking to stand up here. He pushes Aoki off him and springs to his feet nicely. The crowd applauds.

Well I reckon that's a shut out for Brandao, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
