Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between jerome leblanc (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Stephan Potvin (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, jerome leblanc! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Stephan Potvin! The judges for this bout are Dillan Fox, Alec Ball and Robert Douchet.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Potvin avoids the body shot from leblanc.
leblanc avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
leblanc throws a right and a left that Potvin avoids nicely. leblanc shoots in for a takedown. "I don't think so" says Potvin as he avoids it easily. leblanc stuffs the takedown. Potvin looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. leblanc closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. leblanc lands a nice trip takedown into half guard.
leblanc performing his best blanket impression for a moment. Potvin keeping his head moving to avoid the ground and pound. Potvin is looking to control leblanc's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Potvin avoid being mounted? Potvin is looking for a sweep. leblanc is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. leblanc has his takedown stuffed and Potvin counters with a single leg into guard. leblanc didn't expect that. leblanc is controlling Potvin's posture. leblanc is trying to control the position from the bottom.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Potvin tries to stand but leblanc is controlling from the bottom. leblanc manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Potvin manages to get himself to full guard.

That's three minutes gone in the round. leblanc stands up from guard. Let's bang! leblanc closes the distance and gets a double leg, slamming Potvin to the mat! Potvin manages to get full guard. leblanc throwing strikes but missing. Potvin controlling the position. The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.

Potvin thows some rabbit punches from the bottom but they don't do any damage. leblanc is looking to stand up but Potvin won't let him. leblanc trying to control but Potvin is working from the bottom. Potvin lands a beautiful switch and he's in full mount! That could spell trouble for leblanc! Potvin takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though. The crowd applaud the fighters efforts here as the round comes to an end. Potvin tries to control but leblanc wriggling away. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Potvin fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. leblanc sprawls well initially but Potvin persists and gets the takedown into half guard. Potvin stops leblanc from getting back to his feet.

Potvin tries to stand but can't do so whilst leblanc controls his leg. jerome leblanc overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. leblanc trying to control but Potvin postures up.

Potvin thinks about going for a far side armbar but bails out and retains the dominant position instead. Potvin works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head. leblanc is trying to control Potvin's posture but Potvin avoids it. Potvin working the head and body with strikes.
That's two minutes gone in the round. A lull in the action here being met with boos from the crowd. leblanc is looking for a sweep. Potvin trying to control the position but leblanc is working away. Sloppy strikes there by Potvin. Potvin decides to stand back up. Potvin throws a right hand that leblanc ducks under and follows up with a left that leblanc also avoids with ease. Potvin throws a body kick despite being completely out of range and Potvin takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. leblanc closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth. Potvin is trying to control leblanc's posture but leblanc avoids it. leblanc looking to punish the body of his opponent here but Potvin is avoiding damage well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Both fighters take a look at the clock. leblanc is trying to get an arm triangle but Potvin is defending well. Potvin wants to control but leblanc postures up. Potvin tries to buck leblanc off but leblanc is having none of it. leblanc wants to control but Potvin is keeping him busy.
That's four minutes gone in the round. My god... these two guys really need to pick up the pace or everyone will leave to go get a beer. Potvin is trying to get back to half guard.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Potvin clinches up with leblanc and pushes him back against the cage. leblanc trying to land knees to the body.
Potvin breaks from the clinch.
Potvin drives through with a takedown into guard. Potvin wants to control from the top but leblanc keeps moving. Potvin wants to get up but he can't break leblanc's closed guard. He needs to be careful trying to break the legs open, as he's open to submissions here. leblanc looking to sweep here. No luck so far. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Stephan Potvin showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. Well, the break between rounds is over. Let's get back to the scrappin! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Potvin is trying to improve his position. leblanc is moving around in side control but his primary objective seems to be to maintain the position. Potvin avoids any damage from the ground and pound of leblanc. leblanc controls the position. Both fighters are breathing heavily.

Potvin tries to roll over but leblanc keeps him under control. leblanc wants to control but Potvin is keeping him busy. leblanc wants to stand but Potvin has hold of a leg and an arm, so he's trapped for now. leblanc thows a huge punch but Potvin dodges it nicely.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. leblanc passes into side control, despite Potvin's attempt to control the position.

The referee has ruled that neither fighter is active enough on the ground and has stood them back up. Potvin shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and leblanc counters with a nice double leg into guard. jerome leblanc has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. Potvin stands up. Potvin drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. leblanc is not content to let Potvin control the position.
And that's the end of the fight! jerome leblanc showed his dominance in that final round. Well leblanc has outscored his opponent in every aspect of the fight today. Only a scarily incompetent judge or two will keep him from a well deserved win... Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
