Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, DJ Bronson! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Wallid Wallenda! The judges for this bout are Albert Achterberg, Patrick Alders and Nard Betker.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Bronson throws a hook to the side of Wallenda's head but Wallenda sees it coming and ducks under it beautifully. Wallenda tries to score with an inside leg kick but telegraphs it and Bronson is able to avoid easily. Bronson swung with a counter punch to the body but it didn't connect. Wallenda throws a hard body shot but it just misses.
Bronson appears to be looking for a counter punch to the body. Wallenda displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Bronson throws out the jab. Bronson ducks under a wild hook from Wallenda. Wallenda slips under a jab from Bronson. Wallenda loads up on a big right hand but Bronson slips the punch. Bronson swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Wallenda throws a sloppy body shot
and Bronson counters by moving into the clinch. Wallenda is trying to stall.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wallenda tries to take the fight to the ground by pulling guard but can't manage it.

Bronson gets through Wallenda's defenses to land a nice punch to the side of the head. The referee calls for Bronson to work.

Bronson will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Wallenda up against the cage. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by DJ Bronson. Bronson misses with an uppercut. Wallenda saw that one coming.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallenda throws a low kick but Bronson moves out of range easily. Wallenda throws a leg kick and Bronson counters into the clinch. Nicely done. Wallenda is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Bronson's corner are urging him to control the action in the clinch for a moment, rather than mount any serious offense. I'm sure the crowd appreciate those instructions... not. The referee calls for Bronson to work.

That's four minutes gone in the round. Bronson taking a breather. Bronson throws a head punch that misses. Bronson swings wildly with an uppercut but Wallenda uses good head movement to avoid it. Wallenda is working hard here but doesn't seem to be able to control effectively, up against the cage. Bronson lands an uppercut. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Wallenda's head jolts backwards as he takes an uppercut right on the button! Bronson throws a blind hook that connects with the side of Wallendas head. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Wallenda throws a leg kick and Bronson connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. Bronson doesn't manage to clinch there - Wallenda circles away.

It looks like Wallid Wallenda has been cut. Bronson lands a jab to Wallenda's midsection. Wallid Wallenda seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Bronson is looking to clinch. Wallenda is definitely looking for the counter takedowns here. Bronson tries to clinch up but Wallenda circles away and keeps his distance. Donk. Bronson catches Wallenda right on the button with a cross. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Wallenda slips under a jab. Wallenda thows a leg kick but Bronson checks it and Wallenda takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Bronson throws a body shot but no joy. Wallenda misses with a body shot.
That's one minute gone in the round. Bronson misses with a looping right. Wallenda feints the counter takedown. Wallenda is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Bronson. Bronson just misses with a punch to the body.

An inside leg kick from Wallenda misses. DJ Bronson is winning the standup battle so far. Bronson lands a lovely overhand right. Wallenda keeps the fight on the outside. Wallenda tried to score with a low kick but Bronson checks it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Bronson drops his hands momentarily and Wallenda takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Wallenda closes the distance and scores a nice trip takedown into half guard. Bronson did well to prevent Wallenda getting side control. Wallenda trying to pass the guard but Bronson defending well. Well, if Wallenda is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Bronson is looking for a sweep. Wallenda is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Bronson wants to control but Wallenda is keeping busy and won't allow it. Bronson is not content to let Wallenda control the position. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Wallenda seems to be working for a kimura but Bronson defends the submission attempt. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Bronson wants to control but Wallenda is keeping busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Wallenda wants to lay and pray for a moment but Bronson keeps working. Bronson looks like he's trying to stand up.

Bronson gets a warning from the ref for wasting time. The ref breaks the fighters up, due to lack of action by DJ Bronson. Bronson stuffs the takedown attempt from Wallenda. Wallenda gets slowly back to his feet. Bronson fakes high and swings low for a body shot but Wallenda manages to avoid it. Wallenda let fly with a counter punch to the body but it didn't land.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Wallenda has his head slapped from side to side by a 3 punch combination. That must have hurt him. Bronson swings for the body but Wallenda moves out of range.
Wallenda throws a big shot that misses. It looked like Bronson wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Wallenda shoots in from a long way out. He's driving through with the takedown attempt and he eventually gets it, landing in Bronson's guard. Wallenda forces his way into half guard. Wallenda is working for a kimura but Bronson is defending it quite comfortably.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Well, if Wallenda is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.
