Coming up we have a heavyweight MMA rules bout between Earl Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and This Amateur (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Earl Jack has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 3 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Earl Jack!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 6 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, This Amateur!
The judges for this bout are Stewart Dunkirk, Tiny Johnson and Chris Downing.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Amateur fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Jack sprawls well initially but Amateur persists and gets the takedown into half guard.

Jack looking for submissions off his back.
Amateur tries to stand but can't do so whilst Jack controls his leg.

Jack looking for submissions from an awkward position here.

Jack actively working from the bottom here.

Jack is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Amateur pulls his head out easily.

Jack looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Amateur pushes past his half guard into mount!
Amateur scoring with some good ground and pound from mount here. Will he manage to finish Jack?
Jack might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Jack definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Amateur trying to control from half guard but Jack is working away.
Amateur working some ground and pound from close in. He's looking to maintain this position and strike for a while by the looks of things... although he'll probably advance to full mount in a minute now I've said that.
Amateur wants to lay and pray for a moment but Jack keeps working.

Amateur tries for a kimura but Jack is defending well.
Jack is moving his hips around well on the bottom and has managed to get back to half guard.

Jack is looking for a triangle here but Amateur uses the submission attempt to pass into side control.
Jack is looking to reverse the position.
Jack looks to move to half guard but instead Amateur has passed into mount! Damn!
Jack gets back to half guard.
Jack wants to sweep but Amateur has passed to side control!

Amateur tries for a kimura. Not really close to a finish though.
Jack tries to get back to half guard but can't.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Jack is working hard here to advance position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Amateur gets to mount! Jack was on the offensive and wasn't defending properly.
Amateur lands a couple of good shots and Jack has given up his back, trying to escape the position!

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Jack wants to escape the position.
Amateur lands punches and elbows.
Amateur doesn't have the hooks in and Jack manages to turn into his guard.
Amateur is a painfully thin specimen of a man. You do wonder whether a good body kick would snap him clean in two.

Jack drops back looking for a heel hook - he quickly realises he's not going to get it but Amateur manages to dive on top of him before he can escape and now Jack has Amateur in his guard.


Jack had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Amateur defends it easily.

Jack is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Jack is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Amateur defends well.

Jack has his foot on Amateur's thigh. He's trying to push off and get in position for a triangle, I think. Amateur works his way back into a safe position though.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

This Amateur dominated that round.
That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.



Amateur shoots in and gets a takedown into Jack's guard.

Jack has managed to work for a loose triangle. I think Amateur should be able to defend this one pretty easily though. Oh, Jack has tightened it up now! Amateur should have reacted faster there - he's in big trouble and yes, he's tapped out! This one is all over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:26 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Triangle). Earl Jack!
