Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Jose Kainz! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
1 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Brad Lucifer! The judges for this bout are Emerson Jorge, Felipe Paraventi and Edson Gomes.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Lucifer tries to score a power double leg takedown but Kainz sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Lucifer somewhat. Kainz closes the distance and pushes Lucifer back into the cage. Lucifer pulls Kainz into guard.
Kainz has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player. Kainz working from the guard for now, landing some ground and pound. Kainz connects with a couple of short punches. Kainz is trying to tuck his arms in to keep them safe but Lucifer has managed to isolate one of them and has got a loose triangle. Kainz is looking to defend but Lucifer has done well to lock his legs together - this could be big trouble for Kainz! Lucifer pulls down on the head and a little smile comes across his face - he knows he's got it. Yep, Kainz taps out and this one is all over!
