Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Elmo Lopez (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Demolisher Jack (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Demolisher Jack has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of London, Demolisher Jack!
The judges for this bout are James Ackerman, James Atkins and Sam Margolis.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Jack looks to land a combination. Lopez sees it coming but can only parry a couple of the shots.
Lopez tries for a takedown but Jack circles away easily

and Jack counters by moving into the clinch. Good anticipation by Jack.
Jack looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.

Jack pulls guard.
Jack pulls Lopez in to control the position.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Jack has managed to wall walk up one of the corner posts to get back to his feet. Lopez is pushing him up against the cage, looking to control the position.

Lopez pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.

Jack drops back looking for a leg! Lopez is in trouble here! The fighters roll with the hold and Lopez manages to kick Jack off! Jack jumps back into Lopez's guard.

Jack is trying to work for a kimura. This could be trouble! No, Lopez has managed to free his arm - good work.
Jack has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Jack is taking a break and basically stalling. The referee will not allow him to do that for long.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Jack works a leg free and moves into half guard.

Lopez tries to roll over but Jack keeps him under control.

Lopez shoots in for a takedown - he's clinched up with Jack but Jack pushes him off and we're back to square one.
Jack is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch.
Jack has been the more effective fighter overall so far.

Jack will no doubt start fighting again in a minute but for now he's just having a little rest, leaning Lopez up against the cage.

The referee is keeping an eye on Jack - much more stalling and he will separate the fighters.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Jack can't get the takedown.
Elmo Lopez has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Demolisher Jack.
Jack is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though.
Jack has had enough of the clinch and is looking to separate.
Lopez jumps guard but Jack turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing.
Lopez has Jack pressed against the cage, preventing Jack from circling away and getting back to striking at range.

Jack has a body lock and is looking for a takedown. Lopez is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet.

Jack's corner calls for him to break the clinch, which he does.

Jack tries to bum rush Lopez with a series of wild strikes but Lopez uses good footwork to avoid the assault.
Lopez seemed to be looking to counter by closing the distance.
Jack shuffles to his left behind two crisp jabs. Lopez eats them both and turns towards Jack to reposition himself and eats a stinging right hand-left hook combo.
Jack is breathing heavily.
Jack tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Lopez was well out of range. Poor timing from Jack.
As Jack tries to get set, Lopez tries to push him back and clinch up but Jack manages to avoid the attempt.
Jack looks to land a combination but Lopez avoids it well.
Jack shoots for a takedown but Lopez saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Lopez looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily.
Lopez really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Jack tries to close the distance and clinch but Lopez swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
Lopez changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Lopez fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Jack avoids it really well and circles away.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Demolisher Jack showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

Well Jack has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
