Introducing the champion to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 6 - 1 - 0, fighting out of London, Purple Aki!
And introducing the challenger to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 18 - 2 - 0, fighting out of London, Rich Piana!
The judges for this bout are Andrew Berry, Colin Fotheringham and Paul Tew.

The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Piana misses with a few strikes there.
Aki ducks under a wild hook from Piana.
Piana missing with a left hand there. Aki was out of range so wasted energy throwing that one.
Piana cracks Aki with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Piana swings wildly with a right hand that was never going to find it's target.
Aki takes an uppercut right on the button but keeps his composure.

It looks like Purple Aki has been cut.
Piana cracks Aki with a nasty uppercut that draws ooohs from the crowd and sends Aki tumbling backwards onto the mat. He tries to recover but Piana pounces and lands a hail of unanswered strikes that forces the referee to step in to end the fight! Aki is not happy but he gave the referee no choice!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 0:25 of round 1, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Rich Piana!
Rich Piana is the new light heavyweight champion!
In his post fight interview, Rich Piana started talking himself up. Luckily his charisma kept the crowd on side and gave him a good reception.
