Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Ethan Brown (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Sonny White (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). We have two fighters making their debuts here, so let's see who comes out of this one with their first professional victory.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Ethan Brown! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Sonny White! The judges for this bout are Alexandre Firmino, Felipe Paraventi and Paulo Santos.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! White has his head snapped back a nice jab. A little nod from White there as he acknowledges the shot. White will need to tighten up his combinations if he doesn't want to gas himself out, swinging at thin air.
White avoids the head kick by Brown.
Brown takes one on the chin but keeps coming.
Brown displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from White. Brown throws a sloppy head kick and White moves out of range easily. And White tries to counter it with a takedown but Brown pushes his down on his head and steps out. Brown shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. Brown showed some decent athleticism there. Brown seems to be working for a kimura but White defends the submission attempt. Brown takes a deep breath and rests his weight momentarily on top of his opponent, to control the position.
That's one minute gone in the round. Brown trying to mount his opponent but White defends it. White looking for submissions off his back. White is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Brown scores with a couple of nice shots. Brown wants to free his trapped foot but White is holding on for dear life with his legs. Brown is nestled in close to White, controlling him well. He's worked in a nice elbow to the side of the head as well, for good measure. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White is looking to control Brown's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can White avoid being mounted? White really doesn't want to stay on the ground with Brown. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out. White is looking to escape. Neither fighter is being very active at the moment, with Brown in particular looking to stall. Brown has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. White taking some punishment here, with Brown in his half guard. Brown moves into full mount! White won't be happy about that! Brown dominating with strikes here. Brown in mount throwing good strikes here, bouncing his opponent's head off the canvas.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Brown controlling the position easily from mount. Brown pausing momentarily but resumes with a couple of decent strikes that do a bit of damage. Brown looking to control and managing it successfully. Brown landing strikes from the mount. Brown takes a little breather and maintains the position. The referee will be looking for him to stay active from such a dominant position though.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd growing excited in anticipation of a finish here! Right on cue, Brown cracks his opponent with a massive right hand that draws loud cheers!
Brown controlling the pace for now. Brown is going oldschool here, as he tries to force White to tap using a forearm choke. This isn't 1993 though, so White shrugs it off. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. White is trying to get back to his feet but can't. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Ethan Brown dominated that round. The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action!
Brown changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. White tries to avoid it but Brown manages to keep hold of a leg and drag White to the ground. White escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. A telegraphed takedown attempt from White is defended easily by Brown. White throws a two punch combo that lands nicely.
White displays good takedown defense there as he swats away a double leg from Brown. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown shoots in for a double leg but White sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. White now looks to counter with a shot at the body. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ethan Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him. White with a poor takedown and Brown counters with a good right hand that lands right on the jaw. A momentary lapse in concentration from White enables Brown to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. White manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat. White pushes Brown off and gets back to his feet.
That's one minute gone in the round. White throws a head kick that connects with a bit of head and a bit of hand.
Brown is rocked! White fails with a takedown attempt. Brown stuffs the takedown attempt from White. White gets slowly back to his feet. Brown is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that White can do to turn this around? White is breathing heavily. Brown tries to score a power double leg takedown but White sees that one coming and sprawls well. That will dishearten Brown somewhat. White tries to clinch but Brown is having none of it. White has managed to clinch.
Brown gets a nice trip takedown into half guard.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White trying to hold on to Brown's head to control him but Brown postures up.
Brown is taking a breather. White says something to him but it's hard to make out. Perhaps he's telling him to get on with it and actually do something. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Brown seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down White for as long as he can get away with. Brown is sneakily working for an arm triangle but White sees it coming and defends easily.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White is looking to control Brown's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can White avoid being mounted? Brown not doing much here.
If this pace continues, the referee will definitely step in and force a standup. Ground and pound from Brown. Brown controlling the action here.
The referee decides to stand the fighters back up. Sonny White seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. White fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Brown. White shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Brown defends it nicely. White shoots in looking for a takedown. Brown tries to sprawl out of it but White keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Brown manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Brown is trying hard to land a takedown here. White sprawls well and keeps this one on the feet. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close second round but Sonny White will probably get the nod - 10:9. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action! This is the final round!
Brown clinches up with White and pushes him back against the cage. White taking a break, stalling in the clinch.
White can't get the takedown.
Brown tries to jump guard but he falls flat on his backside. White smiles and moves away.
Brown tries to clinch but fails miserably and White counters with a thumping low kick. Brown looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for White! White is positioning himself to get back to half guard. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Brown is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but White is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. White struggling a bit here.
That's one minute gone in the round. A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet. Brown has control of an arm but White manages to advance to Brown's back! White has his opponent's back but Brown is looking to stand. He manages to get to his feet and shakes off White.
That's two minutes gone in the round. White will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts. White takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired. Brown tries to clinch but White is having none of it. Brown moves into range and throws a combination. A nice jab followed by a hook to the body. Brown shoots for a takedown but White saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Nice takedown defense from White. No joy for Brown on that attempt. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ethan Brown. That's going to take a lot out of him. White misses with a takedown and Brown counters with a three punch combination, finished off with a leg kick. Nice work. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. White darts in and clinches Brown up against the cage. Brown prevents a body shot from White. Brown drops down looking for an ankle pick but White pulls his leg out and moves away.
Brown shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. White is trying to defend but Brown finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
That's three minutes gone in the round. White wants to control but Brown is keeping busy and won't allow it. White moves into full guard.
Brown won't allow White to sweep him here. Brown passes easily into side control. Nice work. White being controlled for a moment.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Brown decides to stand back up. Brown steps back and let's White get back to his feet. White misses with a hook. Brown cracks White with a good shot that sees him stumbling back into the cage. No luck for White with that takedown attempt. Brown tries to close the distance and clinch up but White swats him away and circles back towards the center.
And that's the end of the fight! Ethan Brown showed his dominance in that final round. I think Brown has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
