The judges for this bout are Matheus Silva, Mauricio Rocha and Emerson Jorge.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Silva gets to the clinch - let's see what his plan is here.
Silva fails to pull the fight into his guard.
Caralho looks like he'd prefer to be striking at range right now.
Silva tries to pull guard but Caralho forces him back to his feet, against the cage.
Caralho is trying to work out of this bad position, with his back against the cage.
Silva pushes off and circles away, back to the middle of the mat.
Caralho misses with the combination.
Silva goes for a double leg but Caralho avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Caralho continues to drive forward.
Porra Caralho has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Pablo Jr Silva.

Porra Caralho seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Caralho dances in quickly and lands a nice inside leg kick on Silva. That did some damage!

Silva lets it all go there with a big combo counter but none of the punches connected.
Silva throws a head kick that misses.

Caralho throws a combination but it was largely blocked by Silva.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch but Caralho swats him to one side with an open hand palm strike and circles away.
A nice combination there by Caralho.
Caralho scores with a one two! Silva had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes.
Caralho is breathing heavily.

Silva shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Caralho as he jumps to the side.
Caralho changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit.
Silva tries to clinch but Caralho moves out of range.
Silva avoids a punch combination nicely.
Caralho throws a sloppy head kick and Silva moves out of range easily.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Silva closes the distance and clinches up with Caralho, looking for a takedown. Silva pushes Caralho against the cage but Caralho circles to the side and manages to break the clinch.
An attempted straight right counter from Caralho misses the target.
Horrible takedown attempt by Silva or perhaps it was just good defense by Caralho, which made it look bad.
Silva tries to close the distance and clinch up against the cage but Caralho paws at him with a jab and circles away.

Caralho tries to bum rush Silva with a series of wild strikes but Silva uses good footwork to avoid the assault.

and Caralho counters with a three punch combo that has Silva backing up. Silva nods at Caralho to acknowledge the strikes.

Caralho swings wildly with a couple of big hooks
and Silva counters with a shot to the ribs. That looked like it hurt.

We've been hearing good reports from Caralho's training camp. Apparently he has been rolling around with some good quality BJJ practitioners and has been sharpening his skills. Let's see if that has an impact on the fight today.

Silva slows the pace down in half guard.
The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult.
Silva not throwing his punches with enough precision this time.

Caralho connects with the punch.
Silva throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Caralho's waist but Caralho gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Silva off to one side.
Silva with poor footwork there. He got himself in a bit of a tangle, enabling Caralho to score with a decent uppercut.
Silva slips a jab and a cross from Caralho.
Silva tries to clinch up against the cage, rushing in to close the distance. Caralho manages to break the clinch and circles back to the middle of the mat.
Caralho clobbers Silva with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise.
Porra Caralho is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.
Caralho fakes a head punch and goes low to the body. Nicely done.
Silva throws a half hearted mid kick.
Silva shoots in looking for a takedown. Caralho tries to sprawl out of it but Silva keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Caralho manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.

Silva fakes an overhand right and shoots for a takedown. Caralho sprawls well initially but Silva persists and gets the takedown into half guard.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.

Caralho wants to sweep but Silva has passed to side control!
Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Silva stands up and beckons Caralho to his feet.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Silva wants to clinch.
Silva drives through with a takedown into guard.
Caralho wants to get back to his feet but he's too absorbed in his own little project and Silva manages to pass to side control.
Silva seems content to maintain position for now, rather than mounting any offense.
Silva uses his free foot to push down on Caralho's thigh. Eventually he works his other foot free and he's advanced to mount - this is trouble for Caralho.

Caralho wants to get back to his feet.
Silva throwing strikes here but Caralho is writhing around nicely and avoiding any serious damage.

Caralho tries to lock up and control but Silva gives him a forearm to the face and pushes him away.

The crowd are starting to boo a lack of action.
Silva throwing sloppy strikes here. Perhaps if he tightened up his striking from such a dominant position, he'd be able to finish easier.

Silva is giving the impression that he's looking to ground and pound but he switches suddenly into a beautiful far side armbar! Caralho is forced to tap! Great finish!
