Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Elijah Booker!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Mohammed Qissi!
The judges for this bout are Fedor Mirinova, Igor Prikhodko and Aleksei Zolotukhin.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Qissi throws a body kick despite being completely out of range
and Booker counters with a one-two to the body.
Qissi shoots for a takedown but Booker saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily.
Qissi is looking to clinch.
The fight stays on the outside here - Qissi looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
Qissi closes the distance and clinches.
Booker gets control of Qissi's arms and successfully pulls guard. Booker will no doubt be looking for submissions off his back.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Booker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
Booker is working hard here to advance position.
Booker is avoiding any damage by keeping wrist control.
Booker is working the butterfly guard. He manages to land a nice scissor sweep and is now in half guard on the top. Nice move.

Booker stands up from half guard... He's had enough of that ground malarky for the time being.
Qissi throws a combination but comes up with nothing but fresh air.
Qissi fails in his attempt to clinch.
Qissi has closed the distance and engaged Booker in a clinch.
Booker has moved round to his opponent's back and is looking for a suplex! Oh snap! He's tossed Qissi clear over his head and slammed him to the mat!
Booker is landing with strikes from the back.
Qissi is staying cool under pressure, defending well against the rear naked choke attempt from his opponent.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Booker has good solid back control here.
That's two minutes gone in the round.
Booker working from the back looking to end the fight with a rear naked choke. Qissi is doing well to defend. Booker seems to have got his hand under the chin though and he's sunk the choke in! Qissi is forced to tap and this one is over!
