The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Heimendahl throws a half hearted mid kick.
Curry fakes with a right hand and throws a good leg kick, right into the thigh. That had to hurt Heimendahl.
Heimendahl lands a slapping body shot.
Curry tries a switch kick but it misses it's target.
Curry throws a leg kick but Heimendahl moved away.
Jab, jab by Curry - just one landing.
Heimendahl buckles his opponent's knee momentarily with a nice leg kick.
Heimendahl feints with a shoulder and throws a nice leg kick to Curry's calf.
Heimendahl misses with a straight left.
Curry displays some good footwork, moving neatly out of range as Heimendahl throws out the jab.
A slapping leg kick lands for Heimendahl.
Heimendahl slips under a jab.
Heimendahl ducks under a wild hook from Curry.

letting Heimendahl counter with a right hand.
This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!
Curry throws an uppercut from half a mile away. Heimendahl sees it coming and avoids it easily.
Heimendahl is looking to slow Curry down with leg kicks.
Heimendahl takes an uppercut right on the jaw but it doesn't phase him.
Curry lands a nice hook to Heimendahl's body. Heimendahl takes it in his stride and looks to land his own strikes.

Curry lands a big head kick that sends Heimendahl tumbling to the mat! Curry takes a step backwards and waves Heimendahl back to his feet - he wants the finish!
It looks like Thorbjorn Heimendahl has been cut.
Heimendahl avoids the head kick by Curry.
Heimendahl was about to counter that last move with a leg kick but changes his mind.
Curry has been talking about how he's improved his wrestling in the run up to the fight so let's see if that's enough to sway the balance.
Curry throws a nice inside leg kick.
Curry lands a leg kick and bounces back out of range.
Heimendahl lands with a thumping leg kick.
Heimendahl has Curry up against the cage in a clinch.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.

Heimendahl presses Curry against the cage and delivers a mid-strength body shot.
Curry is trying to break free.
Curry breaks the clinch and we return to the middle of the mat.
Curry throws a sloppy body shot
and Curry takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Heimendahl tries to clinch
and Curry counters with a crisp hook to the side of the head.
Curry throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Heimendahl takes a body kick right on the floating rib. Ouchie.

Arthur Curry seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.

Heimendahl is wiping some vaseline out of his eye. Curry doesn't give a rats ass about fair play and cracks him with a massive hook to the side of the head! Heimendahl crumples to the floor out cold! The cornerman is going to be in Heimendahl's bad books for that mishap!
