Coming up we have a lightweight MMA rules bout between Alexei Chernokov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Satoru Takada (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chernokov comes to the cage accompanied by Disaster strikes - Mushroom cloud. Satoru Takada will no doubt be trying to keep this one on the feet, where he has a distinct advantage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the lightweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
7 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Alexei Chernokov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
7 - 3 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Satoru Takada! The judges for this bout are Jonathan Paton, Franklyn Lucas and John Roberts.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Chernokov throws a couple of head shots and lands with the final one - a decent hook, which struck Takada on the side of the head. Chernokov lands a body shot.
Chernokov darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Takada misses the jab. Takada throws a body shot but no joy. Takada moves his head to the side to avoid a jab but walks straight into a cross. Takada with a hook. Chernokov pushes forward with a 1-2 combination that forces Takada back to the cage. Chernokov follows up with a solid lead hook to the liver. Chernokov lunges in with swinging rights and lefts but Takada circles away quickly and effectively. This has been an exciting period of action! Chernokov swings for the body but Takada moves out of range.
Chernokov takes a swing at Takada's ribcage but misses. Boom, another hit is landed. "You're gunna get knocked out" taunts Takada, as that shot connected.
Chernokov throws the left hand but Takada avoids the punch easily. Chernokov just misses with a punch to the body.
Chernokov looks to throw the jab but Takada is out of range. Chernokov ducks right into an uppercut from Takada.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chernokov takes a really solid shot there but just smiles back and shrugs his shoulders.
Chernokov closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage. Takada lands on the inside with an uppercut. Chernokov taking a breather. Takada lands a body shot. Chernokov is working for takedown but Takada is calmly controlling the position for now. Chernokov blocks an uppercut.

Takada creates a bit of space for himself and sneaks an elbow through Chernokov's defenses. Takada lands a right uppercut that snaps the head of Chernokov backwards. That's four minutes gone in the round. Chernokov is the aggressor but that punch slipped nicely by Takada. Takada throws a series of punches but Chernokov moves out of range. Chernokov throws a big shot that misses. A little jabbing left from Takada on the counter but it doesn't find it's target. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Chernokov throws a nice looking combination but Takada bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Chernokov decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard. Takada manages to create a bit of space in order to work his way back to his feet. Chernokov keeps hold of his opponent and drives him back against the cage. Takada pushes off and fires off an elbow that misses, before clinching up again, against the cage. A head punch blocked on the inside by Chernokov. Chernokov tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Takada's elbow. Chernokov misses with a punch to the body.
Chernokov tries to score a body lock takedown but Takada shows good agility there to stay on his feet. The crowd applaud the fighters' efforts here as the round comes to an end. Chernokov scores with a shot to the side of Takada's head. A short right hand to the side of the head by Chernokov. Chernokov is struggling to control the position. Chernokov tries to pull guard but Takada forces him back to his feet, against the cage. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
A close round but Satoru Takada will probably get the nod. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.

Takada looks to throw the jab but Chernokov is out of range. Chernokov looks to score with a jab to the body but Takada is just out of range. Chernokov avoids the body shot from Takada.

And an attempted straight right on the counter from Takada! But no joy. Takada scores with a one two! Chernokov had his feet all tangled up there and couldn't avoid the strikes. Chernokov throws a predictable looking body shot
and Takada connects with a straight left hand counter down the middle. A telegraphed right hand from Takada misses the target. Chernokov tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Takada was well out of range. Poor timing from Chernokov. Takada wants to counter with a clinch but Chernokov pushes him away. Chernokov lands a nice shot to the body.
Satoru Takada is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs. Chernokov dips down and scores with a jab to the body. Takada drops his hands momentarily and Chernokov takes advantage with a crisp shot to the head. Takada fakes a jab and then connects with a hook. Satoru Takada seems to be getting the better of the standup.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Jab, jab by Chernokov - just one landing. Takada has his hands up protecting his head but a hook from Chernokov finds it's way round the side to connect with Takada's head. Chernokov misses with a body shot. Nice footwork from Takada.

A close second round but Satoru Takada will probably get the nod - 10:9. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business. This is the final round!

Chernokov avoids it this time. Chernokov closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Chernokov missing with some ground and pound from the half guard. Chernokov tries to pass the half guard into mount. Takada knows what he's doing though and prevents the attempt. Chernokov is looking to take a break and control but Takada is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Nice strikes from Chernokov there. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Chernokov slows the pace down in half guard. Chernokov seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Takada for as long as he can get away with.
That's one minute gone in the round. Chernokov throws a strike but Takada avoids it easily and moves to full guard. Chernokov postures up in Takada's guard and throws a big left but Takada blocks it. Chernokov wants to pass the guard but Takada is keeping the position. Takada working for a triangle but Chernokov defends it easily.

That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Chernokov trying to control the position from guard on top but Takada is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can. Satoru Takada has got the better of the ground game so far. Takada is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Chernokov trying to land body shots but he keeps hitting the mat. Takada looking for a guillotine here but Chernokov defends easily.
Chernokov working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Takada's head.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Chernokov tries to free his leg and advance position but Takada is retaining full guard. Chernokov avoids a guillotine attempt easily.
Chernokov throws a big elbow that misses. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Alexei Chernokov has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Satoru Takada is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight. Chernokov trying to control but Takada is working from the bottom.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Alexei Chernokov seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Takada lands with a shot to the body. Chernokov misses with a hook. Takada doesn't fully commit to the body shot counter. Nice defenses there by Chernokov. Chernokov throws a jab when Takada was well out of range. A little jabbing left from Takada on the counter but it doesn't find it's target.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Chernokov clobbers Takada with an overhand right that has the crowd gasping. That made a horrendous noise. Chernokov bobs and weaves and unloads with a good uppercut. Takada keeping a good distance there, avoiding the body shot.

Chernokov lands the left hand. Chernokov looks to land a left hand but Takada moved out of range nicely. Chernokov swings and misses with a hook to the body.
And an attempted straight right on the counter from Takada! But no joy. Chernokov shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Chernokov was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! Takada felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Chernokov fails to land a wild elbow strike.
