Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

The judges for this bout are Jorge Garcia, Franklyn Lucas and David Schapiro.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
PUNk closes the distance and pushes Wong back into the cage.
PUNk throws a knee to the head but misses.
PUNk jumps guard and drags Wong to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back.
PUNk looking to hit a scissor sweep but Wong is one step ahead there.
Wong trying to control but PUNk is working from the bottom.

PUNk had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Wong defends it easily.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Wong is looking to advance position but PUNk has hit a scissor sweep - now he's on top in mount!

PUNk avoids the attempt from Wong to control.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
PUNk tucks in and makes sure he doesn't lose the dominant position.

PUNk is working for a guillotine from mount but Wong frees his head quite easily.
Wong really wants to buck PUNk off and get back to his feet.

PUNk has hold of Wong's left arm, perhaps looking for a submission. The two fighters tussle over control of the isolated limb and Wong manages to get his arm back to his side and away from danger.

Wong really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.
Wong looks to control his opponent's hands but he's not mananging it at the moment.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
The crowd hopeful of a finish here - PUNk's supporters are on their feet, screaming for him to go for the rear naked choke.
PUNk lands a punch that was close to the back of the head but the ref thinks it's OK.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Wong dives in and grabs PUNk's left leg, looking for a takedown. PUNk pushes down on Wong's head and hops out.
A momentary lapse in concentration from Wong enables PUNk to shoot in and score with a neat double leg. Wong manages to secure a closed guard as the fighters hit the mat.
Wong is looking to stand back up but PUNk counters by passing into half guard. Oops... bit sloppy there by Wong.
PUNk passes the guard and advances to mount!
