Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Carter (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Rich Troukil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the cage.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Carter! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Rich Troukil! The judges for this bout are Tatsuya Matsuyama, Shirou Masuda and Yuuki Gou.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Troukil dives in and grabs Carter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carter pushes down on Troukil's head and hops out. Carter rushes Troukil and presses him up against the cage. Troukil breaks the clinch.
Troukil looks frustrated there after his takedown attempt is stuffed easily. Troukil shoots in for a takedown but Carter shows good takedown defense. Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rich Troukil. Troukil with a poor takedown and Carter holds on and brings the fighters into a clinch. Troukil breaks from the clinch.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Troukil shoots in for a takedown. "Ole!" shouts Carter as he jumps to the side. Carter changes levels looking for a counter takedown but doesn't commit. Troukil fakes with an overhand right and moves in to clinch with Carter, pushing him back against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter tries to pull guard but Troukil holds him up against the cage and eventually Carter drops back down to his feet.

Troukil shoots for a takedown but Carter saw that one coming a mile off and avoided it easily. Rich Troukil seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nice sprawl there from Carter as Troukil shoots in. Carter lands a nice looking body kick. Troukil misses with a half-hearted attempt at a head kick.

Carter is looking to stand up but Troukil isn't so interested in that idea. Troukil pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Carter is keeping the position for now. Troukil is holding a leg here, probably looking for an ankle lock - he drops back and goes for it! Carter is in trouble! Is it all over??? No! Carter has escaped and now he's on top! Troukil wants to sweep here but Carter controlling him for the moment.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Troukil has momentary wrist control but Carter slips an elbow through the middle. Troukil is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Troukil wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now. Troukil uses the cage to get back to his feet.
The fight moves into the clinch position. Carter breaks from the clinch.

Rich Troukil is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things. A head kick by Troukil misses and Carter counters with a body kick that brings a smile to the face of both fighters. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Troukil clinches up against the cage. Carter jumps guard but Troukil turns him against the cage and keeps the fight standing. Troukil jumps guard and drags Carter to the mat. He's obviously going to be looking for submissions off his back. Carter working in close now, lands a nice elbow to the side of Troukil's head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Carter in full guard, throwing the ground and pound. No damage this time. Troukil looking for a sweep. Not yet Troukil, not yet. Carter throws a big right hand that misses. Troukil manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Carter manages to get himself to full guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Troukil controls from within his opponent's guard. Carter is looking to get back to his feet but can't, whilst Troukil is controlling him. We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon. Rich Troukil has got the better of the ground game so far. Troukil with a flurry of punches that miss.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Troukil shoots in for a double leg but Carter sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy. Carter tries to counter with a takedown but Troukil is quick to defend against it. Troukil dives in and grabs Carter's left leg, looking for a takedown. Carter pushes down on Troukil's head and hops out. Carter has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Rich Troukil. Troukil tries to clinch but Carter moves out of range. Troukil fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Carter avoids it really well and circles away. Troukil is breathing heavily. Troukil avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Carter is winning the standup battle so far. Carter moves in looking to clinch but Troukil pushes him off.
That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are hurling abuse towards the fighters... You can hardly blame them though because there isn't a lot going on in the fight. Carter stuffs a takedown. It's all about dictating where the fight takes place and Carter wants it to stay on the feet. Carter attempts a counter takedown but Troukil avoids it well and moves away. Troukil changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Carter tries to avoid it but Troukil manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Carter to the ground. Carter escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet. Troukil is looking to take this fight into the clinch. Carter wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch. Troukil closes this distance looking for a takedown but Carter circles away. Troukil misses with a takedown and Carter counters nicely by changing levels and landing a hook to the body. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Troukil gets tackled into the cage by Carter. Carter maintains the clinch. Carter is trying to pull guard but Troukil turns him against the cage and we stay in the clinch. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close second round but I would say that Carter will probably get the nod. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!

That's one minute gone in the round. Troukil rushes Carter and pushes him back against the cage in a clinch. Carter has managed to pull guard. Let's see whether he can work an aggressive guard. It will also be interesting to see what tactics Troukil uses from the top position. Troukil slips nicely into half guard. Carter is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Troukil can do to turn this around? Troukil stops Carter from getting back to his feet.

Troukil has freed up his trapped foot and advances to mount. Carter is squirming around, avoiding Troukil's attempts to control the action.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Troukil misses with a series of strikes from mount. He'll no doubt be working on his ground and pound when he gets back to the gym.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Troukil looking to land elbow strikes but Carter uses the position to regain half guard. Troukil is working for a kimura but Carter is defending it quite comfortably.
Still in half guard, Troukil seems content to control.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Troukil looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

That's four minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Carter tries to kick Troukil off but Troukil keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Carter is staying active underneath Troukil, who seems content to just control the action from this position.
The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity. Carter avoids the head kick by Troukil.
Carter is looking for a counter combo. Troukil moves in looking to clinch but Carter pushes him off. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Troukil fails with a takedown attempt. Carter drops down looking for a counter takedown but Troukil sprawls and moves away.
And that's the end of the fight! Carter showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Carter, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
