Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.

And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

4 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Rio de Janeiro, Renan Barao!
The judges for this bout are Cecil Peabody, Daniel Franklin and Alan Glass.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Nice shot lands for Martinez.
Paul Martinez seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Martinez cracks Barao with a nice right hand that draws applause from the crowd.
Decent striking displayed by Martinez there.
Barao moves forwards but Martinez connects with a nice, crisp jab.
A decent looking cross lands there for Martinez.
Martinez lunges at Barao with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Barao's hand.
No joy there for Martinez, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Barao looked like he wanted to counter with a punch but didn't throw it.
Martinez just misses with a punch to the body.
Martinez lands a jab, followed by a cross and another cross, as Barao backs up against the cage.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Martinez lands a vicious shot with the stealth of a sniper and the strength of a viper. Are vipers that strong? I can think of lots of things that are stronger than a viper - not many rhyme with sniper though.
Barao is rocked!
Martinez drops Barao with a straight right hand, right on the button! Martinez follows him down to the mat and pounds him out with hammerfists until the referee jumps in to end the fight!
