Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Jorge VonQulik (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and James Johnson (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Both fighters look fresh as a daisy as they make their way towards the ring.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 5 rounds, in the middleweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jorge VonQulik!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 2 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, James Johnson!
The judges for this bout are Chris Downing, Daniel Franklin and Wesley Smith.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A combination from Johnson does no damage.
VonQulik tries for a takedown but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and avoids it easily.

VonQulik drives through with a really nice takedown into side control.

VonQulik is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Johnson is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now.

VonQulik tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no VonQulik has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought!
Johnson prevents VonQulik from moving into mount.
VonQulik is looking to take a break and control but Johnson is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom.
Johnson is trying to get back to his feet.
The fighters are trapped in the ropes so we're going to have a reposition here. The ref calls for a break and repositions the fighters in the center of the ring.

VonQulik wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy.

VonQulik swings around for an armbar but Johnson sees it coming a mile off and turns beautifully into VonQulik's guard.

VonQulik escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.
Johnson really doesn't want to stay on the ground with VonQulik. If he can't get it back to his feet, it's only a matter of time before he'll be tapping out.
VonQulik is breathing heavily.

The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Johnson wants to control from the top but VonQulik keeps moving.

VonQulik escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Johnson gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance.

James Johnson showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.

VonQulik fails to land the takedown.

Johnson goes to the watering hole and comes back with a big thumbs up from the judges as he scores a three punch combo.
Johnson lands with a nice combination. VonQulik backs away looking to recover.
VonQulik keeps the fight on the outside.

VonQulik shoots in and gets a takedown into half guard. VonQulik showed some decent athleticism there.
VonQulik passes the half guard and he's now in mount! Big trouble for Johnson!

VonQulik with some aggressive grappling here. He's looking for submissions here, rather than waiting for the opportunity to counter.

VonQulik is thinking about an arm triangle here, looking to tighten it up before moving to side control. Johnson can see it coming though and defends well with a couple of strikes to the head and some good arm positioning.

VonQulik has isolated one of Johnson's arms. Johnson looking to fight him off but VonQulik twists into an armbar. It's tight... Will he tap?? YES, he's tapped! This one is all over!
