Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Kim Il Sung (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Gary Player (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Il Sung comes to the cage accompanied by Death in Vegas- Dirt. Player comes into a darkened arena with his song building. Kevin Gates feat. August Alsina - I Don't Get Tired kicks in, the lights come on and the crowd goes wild! What a showman! These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 17 - 13 - 0, fighting out of Montreal, Kim Il Sung!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 35 - 22 - 1, fighting out of Los Angeles, Gary Player!
The judges for this bout are Frank Antenori, Don Winkell and Timothy Bukovac.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

As Il Sung backs off Player throws a huge counter combo but Il Sung manages to avoid it all.

Player's corner calls for a 1-2. Player obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.
Player has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Player throws a looping overhand right but Il Sung ducks down to avoid it.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.

Il Sung working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Player doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Player manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.

That was a close second round but I would say that Kim Il Sung will probably get the nod.

The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Il Sung connects with a nice short shot to Player's temple.

That was a close round. You could make an argument for either fighter but I would give it to Kim Il Sung.
I think Il Sung has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
