The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Ayers drops down and drives through with a powerful takedown into guard.
Ayers gets to his feet - Henderson follows without any prompting.
Henderson stuffs the takedown attempt from Ayers. Ayers gets slowly back to his feet.
Ayers fakes high and shoots in for a takedown but Henderson avoids it really well and circles away.
Ayers tries to shoot in for a takedown. He's got hold of a leg but Henderson swivels and escapes.

This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff!

It looks like Henderson might be adopting somewhat of a lay and pray gameplan here, which I'm sure won't go down too well with the paying fans in attendance... Or the ring announcers come to think of it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.

Henderson gets in close and tags Ayers with a short punch that almost sends Ayers to the mat! Oh Ayers is in big trouble! He turns his back on Henderson, trying to create some distance but Henderson rushes him, striking wildly and Ayers goes down! The referee tackles Henderson into the cage to end the fight! Henderson is one violent man!
