The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Boonyai throws a leg kick
and Westley counters with a nice double leg into guard.
Westley is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position.
Westley landing with the ground and pound.
Westley drops back, looking for a kneebar! Boonyai looks panicked! The fighters roll across the mat, one looking to finish, one looking to escape. Boonyai looks to have wriggled free... Yes, he's got his leg free and he's dived into side control! Good work there from Boonyai!
Westley is trying to get back to half guard. He's pushing on Boonyai's leg. He's managed it. Nice work.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Westley slips a foot under and gets full guard. Nice work.

Westley manages to sweep nicely, so he's now on top. Boonyai manages to get himself to full guard.
Westley is just sitting in guard, looking to avoid any submissions.
A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Westley accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
Boonyai trying to keep a closed guard but Westley is proving a slippery customer.
Westley is intent on slowing down the pace of the fight, simply looking to control.
Westley gets to his feet. Boonyai looking to butt scoot but the ref puts an end to that. On your feet son!
Pu Yai Bahn Boonyai is looking to keep the fight on the feet at all costs.
Westley takes a step back and watches a body kick go sailing past his mid section.
Westley tries to counter with a clinch but Boonyai shakes him off and moves away.

Westley clinches with his opponent.
Westley jumps guard but Boonyai stands there with Westley around his waist. Westley gives up and drops back to his feet. We remain in the clinch.
Westley wants the takedown. Boonyai is fighting it off but Westley persists and manages to bring the fight to the ground, ending up in Boonyai's guard against the cage.
Westley seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up.
Boonyai tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Westley throws a big elbow that misses.
Westley is pushing down on Boonyai's leg trying to pass to half guard. Boonyai is fighting to maintain full guard but Westley has managed to sneak the leg through.
Westley is scoring with some nice ground and pound from the dominant position.

Westley tries to stand and escape but Boonyai is controlling the position.
