Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Barry Rooster (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hanaiakamalama Luahoomae (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Rooster comes to the cage accompanied by For whom the bell tolls. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
5 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Barry Rooster! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
2 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Hanaiakamalama Luahoomae! The judges for this bout are Colin Fray, Chris Saunders and Ryoma Takatsuka.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! We've got one fighter who appears to only be looking to counter and the other not looking particularly aggressive either, so we could be in for a dull fight. Rooster lands an overhand right.
It looks like Hanaiakamalama Luahoomae has been cut. Rooster darts in and out, connecting with a jab. Rooster thuds his right hand into Luahoomae's forehead from close range. That could be painful for both fighters. Rooster misses with a left hand and Luahoomae counters with a nice double leg into half guard. Rooster knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Luahoomae on the ground. Rooster tries to kick Luahoomae off but Luahoomae keeps his base steady and stays in half guard. Luahoomae works his way into side control. Both fighters have adopted an aggressive gameplan on the ground! Luahoomae fails to land a wild elbow strike.
Rooster is putting a lot of effort into getting back to his feet here. Luahoomae tries for a kimura but Rooster is defending well. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Rooster wants to get back to his feet. Luahoomae works a knee to the body and follows up with a nice elbow to the head.
That's one minute gone in the round. Luahoomae is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Rooster is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Luahoomae tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Luahoomae has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Luahoomae has the superior BJJ but he's also working some ground strikes into his gameplan. Luahoomae goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Rooster has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Luahoomae but great work by Rooster. Luahoomae struggling a bit here. Rooster stands up and we're back to a striking position. Rooster definitely looks more muscular than last time we saw him fight. The crowd cheers as Rooster lands an impressive looking overhand right. Luahoomae doesn't seem phased though. Rooster scores with a hook to the body. Luahoomae takes a step back and tries to catch his breath.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Rooster lands with a right hand. Rooster works the jab nicely. This has been an exciting period of action! Rooster lands with a good body shot. Rooster scores with a hook. Rooster cracks Luahoomae with a big right hand that sends him to the floor! Luahoomae looks wobbly but he's sprung back up to his feet straight away… can Rooster finish him?
A jab from Rooster misses. Luahoomae drops down looking to force a counter takedown but Rooster defends it well.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Rooster fakes low and throws an overhand right that catches Luahoomae on the side of the head. Rooster circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Luahoomae to the canvas! Luahoomae doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Rooster keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!
