Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Royal Walsh (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Theil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Theil has chosen Still D.R.E. as his entrance music. Chris Theil has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
0 - 1 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Royal Walsh! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Chris Theil! The judges for this bout are Don Winkell, Jack Bonds and Timothy Bukovac.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Theil shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Theil was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure! We could do with one of the fighters taking the initiative a bit more on the ground - they're both waiting to capitalize on a mistake. Theil tries for an arm triangle. That looks pretty tight to me. Is this one over!?! Possibly, maybe, no Theil has let go of the choke. Obviously it wasn't as tight as we thought! Walsh really is a fat lump. Theil is trying to land an Americana. He has the arm isolated but Walsh is keeping cool and he's avoided the danger for now. Walsh is looking to work his way out of this bad position but Theil is controlling him well. Walsh is looking to reverse the position. Walsh tries to escape but Theil is in control. Walsh manages to get one leg in to regain half guard. Theil wants to lay and pray for a moment but Walsh keeps working. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Walsh looking for submissions from an awkward position here. Walsh is looking to sinch up a guillotine here but Theil pulls his head out easily. Walsh makes his way to full guard. A much better position for Walsh.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walsh escapes his hips to the side and looks to be working for an armbar. Theil gives him a little smile and shakes his head. No chance. Walsh wants to sweep here but Theil controlling him for the moment. Walsh keeping moving, preventing Theil from controlling successfully. Theil pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Walsh is keeping the position for now. Theil wants to control from the top but Walsh keeps moving. Walsh is looking for a guillotine. You can't force these things though and Theil defends well. Walsh has an omoplata and is looking to use it perhaps as a submission or perhaps to transition. Theil is in a bit of discomfort here, but he's managed to free himself and has dived into side control! That didn't work out too well for Walsh.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless. Theil is looking to take a break and control but Walsh is keeping him honest, looking to work from the bottom. Walsh taking punishment in the form of punches.
Walsh takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. Theil wants to control but Walsh is keeping him busy. Walsh is sneaking out the side here. He's bucked Theil off and has taken his back! I would not like to be Theil right now.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Theil is trying to stand back up. Theil looks winded! Theil trying to control but not successfully. What can Theil do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
Walsh has controlled the position for a good 20 seconds, which will no doubt be starting to frustrate his opponent.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. You can see the frustration on Theil's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
What can Theil do to escape this position? He's going to have to figure it out pretty quick if he wants to stay in the fight!
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Walsh seems to have a rather negative gameplan on the ground. He seems keen to just score the takedown and hold down Theil for as long as he can get away with. Walsh continues to stall. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Royal Walsh dominated that round. The fighters' corners scream their final instructions, as the referee calls time. Here we go, back to the action!
Walsh changes levels and drives through with a really nice takedown into side control. Theil looks really pissed at himself for not defending that better. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Walsh stands up and we're back to a striking position. A telegraphed right hand from Walsh misses the target. Theil looking for a takedown here - he's got it. Theil postures up and scores with a shot to the body and a follow up elbow to the head. Walsh has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Theil can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself. Walsh keeping moving, preventing Theil from controlling successfully. Walsh might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Theil won't allow Walsh to sweep him here.
That's one minute gone in the round. Walsh is looking for a triangle but Theil pushes his legs off easily.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here. Theil slips nicely into half guard. Theil is working for a submission here. He's got hold of the far side arm and he's looking for a kimura. He's cranking on the arm and he's got it! Walsh is tapping out! Ouch, that looked like it hurt!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:47 of round 2, we have a winner by way of Submission (Kimura). Chris Theil! An out of breath Chris Theil thanked his loyal fans in his post fight interview, giving them credit for his success over the course of his career.
