1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Tokyo, Pootie Tang! The judges for this bout are Hirohito Nitta, Kenichi Hosakawa and Shirou Masuda.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Tang uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Hideaki.
Pootie Tang seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Hideaki moves out of range of the strikes. Tang throws a nice looking combination but Hideaki bobs and weaves to avoid any damage. Tang tries to bum rush Hideaki with a series of wild strikes but Hideaki uses good footwork to avoid the assault. Tang throws a wild combination but nothing lands. Hideaki Is leaning forward trying to finish the omaplata but decides to abandon it, and take Tang's back instead. Tang is trying to get back to his feet but he's not managed it yet. Tang defends a rear naked choke attempt by controlling one of Hideaki's arms. Hideaki working for a choke but Tang is defending well. You can see the frustration on Tang's face… He knows he is in trouble unless he improves his position sooner rather than later.
