Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
15 - 8 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Gordon Ramsay! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
42 - 39 - 1, fighting out of London, Thomas Johnson! The judges for this bout are Micheangelo Fripello, Ryoma Takatsuka and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Ramsay closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard. Ramsay not throwing his punches with enough precision this time. Ramsay wants to work for an arm triangle but Johnson is really keeping half guard well and defending the submission attempt.
Johnson is trying to stand back up but Ramsay is controlling him
Ramsay seems to be working for a kimura but Johnson defends the submission attempt. Johnson tries to get to full guard but Ramsay has control of the leg. Ramsay takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists. We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Ramsay is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen. Johnson is concentrating on defense, preventing Ramsay from advancing position.

Johnson parries the strikes from Ramsay easily there. Ramsay is wary of posturing up too much because it might enable Johnson to escape.

Johnson tries to work a leg under to get back to half guard but Ramsay wriggles his own leg back out and remains in side control. Johnson taking a bit of punishment here - Ramsay scoring with strikes. Ramsay tries to advance to mount but can't. Johnson takes a couple of big shots there - the referee warns him that he has to defend himself better. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing. Ramsay working the body and head with strikes. Ramsay wants to control but Johnson is keeping him busy. Johnson tries to buck Ramsay off but Ramsay is having none of it. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Ramsay working away.

The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Johnson wants to control but Ramsay is keeping busy.

He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission. Johnson is trying to defend against the ground and pound but Ramsay scores with a couple of nice shots. Ramsay is keeping good posture, landing some ground and pound. Ramsay is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Johnson doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Ramsay. Ramsay is looking for a kimura but he's never going to get it from there. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Johnson blocking the ground and pound attempt from Ramsay. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Ramsay goes for an armbar here - this could be all over! But no, Johnson has escaped beautifully and is now on top in side control! Oh, that's unlucky for Ramsay but great work by Johnson. Gordon Ramsay overall seems to be getting the better of the ground position in the fight so far. Ramsay manages to get back to half guard. Ramsay gets full guard. Johnson won't allow Ramsay to sweep him here. Johnson trying to control but Ramsay is working from the bottom. Johnson looking to sit in guard and control but Ramsay gets the butterfly guard and sweeps. He's now in the guard on the top. Johnson working a defensive guard here.
Ramsay is looking to work some ground and pound but Johnson has wrist control. Ramsay might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.

Ramsay is frustrating his opponent with some stalling tactics from top position. Ramsay lands a nice shot whilst sitting in his opponent's guard. Johnson wants to sweep here but Ramsay controlling him for the moment. Johnson bucks up whilst keeping hold of a body lock, managing to reverse the position. Now he's in top in Ramsay's guard. Johnson trying to control but Ramsay is working from the bottom. Johnson must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu.

Johnson wants to control from the top but Ramsay keeps moving. Ramsay working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Johnson doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Oh but Ramsay is tightening it up a little... Johnson has to be careful here... He's got his foot tucked under now, this looks tight! Johnson reacted too slowly and this one could be over in a matter of seconds! YES! Johnson taps out! Nice BJJ there by Ramsay!
