Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Ivan Tarasov (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Third Round Romero (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Ivan Tarasov has the better chin. Will he look to stand and bang today?

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the light heavyweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
11 - 4 - 0, fighting out of St Petersburg, Ivan Tarasov! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
13 - 4 - 1, fighting out of Las Vegas, Third Round Romero! The judges for this bout are Donald Grub, William Gold and Paul Tew.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! No joy there for Tarasov, who threw a few shots but didn't land.
Romero connects with a slap. Keep your fist closed son. Tarasov has his takedown stuffed and Tarasov takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles. Tarasov tries to close the distance and clinch up but Romero swats him away and circles back towards the center. Romero ducks down and throws a hook to the body but Tarasov moves away. Tarasov feinted with a counter takedown. Tarasov takes one to the side of the head.
Tarasov misses with a few strikes there.
Romero swings away with a counter right hand but no contact made. Tarasov moves out of range of the strikes. Sloppy strikes from Tarasov. Those never looked like landing. Tarasov tries to clinch up but Romero circles away and keeps his distance. Tarasov misses with a takedown and Romero counters with a nice uppercut. Romero throws the left hand but Tarasov avoids the punch easily. Romero misses with a hook. Tarasov ducked under it nicely. We've been told by Tarasov's head coaches at Russian Bears Elite Gym that he's been working on his takedown defense in preparation for this fight. This is a great period of action - very entertaining stuff! Tarasov throws a jab, cross combination which is slipped
and Romero counters with a lovely straight right hand! Romero throws a looping overhand right but Tarasov ducks down to avoid it.
That's one minute gone in the round. Tarasov misses with a takedown letting Romero counter with a right hand. That's three failed takedown attempts in the round for Ivan Tarasov. That's going to take a lot out of him. Romero throws a hook but Tarasov avoids it easily. Tarasov switches off momentarily and Romero cracks him with a monster right hand! Tarasov topples backwards and makes a semi conscious attempt to cover up, as Romero dives in to land one more shot, before the referee has time to call the fight. What a finish by Romero!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:19 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Punch). Third Round Romero! A relieved looking Third Round Romero thanked the fans for their support and gave the usual line about them being amazing. They seemed to believe that he actually meant it.
