Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Manual Gilbert (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Marvin Gaye (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Gaye has chosen Ain´t no mountain high enough as his entrance music. I can't wait for this one - let's get the fighter introductions out of the way and get this one started!

Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 5 - 0, fighting out of Hilo, Manual Gilbert!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.

The judges for this bout are Roger Salmon, Paul Gruel and Colin Fray.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
Gaye gets his takedown attempt stuffed easily
enabling Gilbert to counter with a crisp jab.
Gilbert throws a head kick that misses and slips in the process. He scrambles back to his feet and the fighters circle.
Gaye tries a counter takedown but it's more of a dummy move, and he uses it to push himself away.
Gaye closes the distance and gets a trip takedown into side control. Gilbert quickly recovers to half guard.
Gilbert kicks off Gaye and gets to his feet.
Gaye shoots in looking for a double leg takedown. Gilbert defends it nicely.
Gilbert lifts his leg as if looking to counter with a high kick.
Gilbert dives in for a single leg takedown but Gaye sprawls and the fighters end up clinched against the cage.

Gilbert really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

A bit of a lull in the action. I'm sure it will pick up again soon... even if the ref has to physically pick them up and put them back on their feet.
