Coming up we have a welterweight MMA rules bout between Noam Chomsky (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Yo Hwan Lim (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Chomsky comes to the cage accompanied by System Of A Down BYOB. Over to our ring announcer for the fighter introductions!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 27 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Los Angeles, Noam Chomsky!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 19 - 18 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Yo Hwan Lim!
The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Winston Howard and Eliza Hachem.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
A head kick by Lim misses
and Lim takes a counter punch right on the button for his troubles.
Chomsky stuffs the takedown attempt from Lim. Lim gets slowly back to his feet.
Chomsky tries to counter by moving into the clinch but Lim manages to circle out of the way.

Chomsky shoots in for a takedown and gets it.

Lim makes some distance and scrambles quickly back to his feet. Nice work!
Lim shoots in for a takedown. He's persisting with it as Chomsky sprawls well. Chomsky wins this battle and keeps the fight standing. Lim gets slowly back to his feet.
Lim fails to land the takedown.
Chomsky tries to counter by clinching up but Lim breaks away and moves out of range.
Noam Chomsky has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Yo Hwan Lim.
Lim shoots in for a double leg but Chomsky sprawls well. That's going to sap some energy.
Chomsky is looking to counter the offense by Lim and move into the clinch.

Lim throws his legs up looking to secure a triangle. Oh, that looks pretty tight, I gotta say! Chomsky escapes and throws Lim's legs to the side, diving into side control!

Lim is looking to improve his position.
Chomsky takes advantage of the dominant position to land a couple of big hammer fists.

Lim looking to force a kimura from the bottom here. He's concentrating on that move too much though and Chomsky pushes past his half guard into mount!

Chomsky avoids the attempt from Lim to control.

Chomsky throws a chopping leg kick but Lim manages to avoid taking any serious damage.
Chomsky takes a body punch but keeps moving.
Chomsky cracks a nice hook into Lim's ribs.
Chomsky stuffs the takedown.
Lim fails with a takedown attempt from distance.
A decent looking cross lands there for Chomsky.
Lim will have to do better than that with his takedown attempts.
Chomsky wants to take advantage of his opponent's missed offense by moving into the clinch.

The fighters circling - Chomsky throws out the jab but it was never going to land.

Lim decides to change it up a bit and drives through with a nice takedown into half guard.
Chomsky wants to improve his position but Lim is controlling well.
Chomsky is pressing down on Lim's left leg trying to get back to full guard. He's managed it.
Chomsky is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Lim can do to turn this around?

Chomsky had isolated an arm as going for a kimura. Lim defends it easily.
Chomsky wants to control here, rather than go for any submissions from the bottom. At least for now.

Lim wants to pass the guard but Chomsky is keeping the position.
Lim wants to stand but Chomsky has a closed guard, so he can't escape.
Chomsky is trying to control the position from the bottom.
Lim controls from within his opponent's guard.

Lim wants to control from the top but Chomsky keeps moving.
Lim pressing down on his opponent's thigh, looking to pass guard. Chomsky is keeping the position for now.
Lim sneaks a leg through and gets to half guard. That was like a knife through butter how easily he passed Chomsky's guard.

Chomsky is trying is best to control the position here.

Lim tries to pass to full mount but Chomsky defends it.

The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Chomsky trying to control from the bottom.
We may be looking at a referee standup if the pace doesn't pick up soon.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Lim is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Lim is looking for an arm triangle, whilst trying to pass to side control. Chomsky doesn't seem that keen to cooperate though. No luck this time Lim.
Chomsky is staying active underneath Lim, who seems content to just control the action from this position.

The referee has motioned to the fighters to stand back up. He just wasn't happy with the level of activity.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!
Lim shoots in for a takedown but Chomsky shows good takedown defense there and keeps this one on the feet.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

That was a close second round but I would say that Noam Chomsky will probably get the nod.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business. So, we enter the final round. Let's see if either fighter can bring us a finish, or whether we're going to the judges scorecards.

Lim looks for a takedown here. Will he get it? Chomsky is fending him off so far but Lim persists. Nope, Chomsky circles away and we're back to standing.

Lim goes for a takedown attempt but Chomsky pushes him away and we're back to fighting at a distance.
Lim takes a jab on the nose there. A little bit of blood seems to be coming out. Hopefully that won't affect his breathing.

Lim takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.

Nice body punch from Chomsky.
Lim is still on wobbly legs! Can Chomsky finish him?
Chomsky circles and sees the opportunity to plant his feet and throw a really nice straight left hand that drops Lim to the canvas! Lim doesn't know where he is but he's trying to survive - Chomsky keeps piling on the pressure and forces the referee to step in! This one is aaaaaall over!

Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:12 of round 3, we have a winner by way of TKO (Strikes). Noam Chomsky!
Noam Chomsky decided to go for the less than humble approach in his post fight interview, telling everyone how he is going to conquer the world. The crowd seemed to like it when really that sort of approach could have gone either way.
