Coming up we have a middleweight MMA rules bout between Genghis Khan (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Kingsley Nasir (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Khan kept the crowd waiting but all that was forgotten when his ring entrance music started. The incomparable musical genius that is Nirvana - The Man Who Sold the World. These two fighters really are very evenly matched on the feet - it will be fascinating to see who can assert themselves in that aspect of the fight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the middleweight division. Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner. With a record of
23 - 14 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Genghis Khan! And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner. With a record of
12 - 9 - 0, fighting out of Helsinki, Kingsley Nasir! The judges for this bout are Bruno Hogan, Ben Watson and Summer Carpenter.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Khan leaves Nasir with his face pressed against the mat as he sprawls beautifully, defending against a solid takedown attempt. Khan avoids the clinch attempt nicely.
Khan misses with a looping right. Nasir uses some good footwork to avoid the body shot by Khan.
Khan sizes up Nasir with a pawing jab and scores with a straight right down the middle. Khan swings and misses with a hook to the body.
Nasir gets a clinch. Khan misses with a punch to the body.
Nasir is looking to take this one to the mat. A shot in the inside from Khan. Nasir is trying to trip Khan. He has hold of a leg but Khan is hopping around, keeping his balance for the moment. Nasir persists though and gets the takedown into guard. In the pre-fight buildup videos we saw Nasir working his ground and pound in the gym. He isn't landing a great percentage of his ground strikes so far though. Khan keeping moving, preventing Nasir from controlling successfully. Nasir must be cautious of submissions here, given that his opponent has the superior Jiu Jitsu. Nasir won't allow Khan to get back to his feet. Khan keeping full guard, as Nasir tries to pass.
That's one minute gone in the round. Nasir postures up in Khan's guard and throws a big left but Khan blocks it. Khan keeping moving, preventing Nasir from controlling successfully. Nasir stands up and looks to throw the legs aside to pass to side control. Khan swivels though and keeps the full guard.
The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet. Nasir tries to clinch but Khan moves away and Khan counters with a straight right hand. Nasir lands a nice shot that snaps Khan's head back.

That's two minutes gone in the round. Khan connects with a solid leg kick. Nasir scores with a jab to the jaw. Nasir throws out a token jab with nothing on it. Khan just misses with a punch to the body.

It looked like Khan wanted to counter with a hook but didn't fully commit. Khan jabs. That one connects to the head of his opponent.
Like a baseball bat into the meat of his leg there - nice leg kick by Khan.
Khan jabs at Nasir's body. The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here. Nasir changes levels and scores with a jab to the body. Nasir closes the distance looking to clinch and Khan counters with a nice jab to the body that keeps Nasir thinking. Nice uppercut there from Khan.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Khan misses the shot to the body. Nasir moves into range and clinches up with Khan. Nasir is working for a takedown up against the cage. He can't get it on this occasion though. Genghis Khan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kingsley Nasir. Khan tries to throw a body punch but Nasir avoids it by throwing Khan back against the cage. Nasir misses the knee to the body. Nice hip positioning from Khan.

Nasir drops down looking for an ankle pick but Khan pulls his leg out and moves away.
Khan scores with a big left there. The judges will like that one. Khan tries to clinch up. Nasir shoots in but doesn't get the takedown and Khan counters with a lovely shot to the body. Khan lands a body shot.
Nasir takes a shot right to the bread basket. Kingsley Nasir seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout. Nasir looks winded!
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khan tries to land with a swinging hook to the body but Nasir was well out of range. Poor timing from Khan. Nasir is trying to avoid his opponent's strikes and get into the clinch. Nasir fails to land with the punch combination there - jab, cross, hook, miss, miss, miss.

Nasir looks to score with a combo but nothing lands. Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd. Khan uses good footwork to get in and out and land a nice right hand before Nasir has time to react. Khan punishes Nasir's body with a nice straight punch. Khan connects with a good right hand that stumbles Nasir. Nasir circles away out of range and recomposes himself. Khan shoots in for a takedown and gets it. Let's see what he's got on the mat. Khan is stalling in the full guard. Khan is pushing down on Nasir's leg trying to pass to half guard. Nasir is fighting to maintain full guard but Khan has managed to sneak the leg through. Well, if Khan is going to just lie there, perhaps we should talk about what we're having for dinner tonight… I'm having a ham and pineapple pizza… Yum. Can't wait.

Genghis Khan dominated that round. That's the end of the interval. I'm sure that seemed a lot quicker than a minute for our two fighters! Back to the action.
The fight stays on the outside here - Nasir looks like he's thinking about clinching though. Khan misses with a low kick. Nasir takes one on the chin but seems OK.

Khan connects with a leg kick. Nasir looked like he was expecting something else and didn't defend it. Nasir throws a leg kick but Khan sees it coming and moves out of range. Khan clinches with his opponent.

The fighters are going at a pretty good pace and they're both starting to sweat now. Nasir is working on a single leg takedown against the cage. Khan can't fight it off and eventually Nasir manages to take the fight to the floor. Khan looks annoyed but at least he's managed to land in guard. The fighters are working up against the cage. Khan manages to wriggle his way back to his feet, so the fighters are now clinched against the cage. Khan is really dominating this fight. Is there anything that Nasir can do to turn this around? We've seen a great period of action over the last minute or so - credit to both fighters for going all out! Nasir misses with a punch to the body.
That's one minute gone in the round. Khan misses with a hook from the clinch. Khan lands on the inside with an uppercut. Nasir changes levels and goes for a takedown here. Khan fights it off and pushes away nicely.
Genghis Khan is winning the standup battle so far. A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Nasir. Khan goes for a double leg but Nasir avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Nasir continues to drive forward. Khan has managed to clinch.

Khan stays in close to his opponent and throws a right hand to the body. Nasir lands a shot to the body. With the fighters clinched against the cage, Khan creates a bit of distance for himself and scores with a nice uppercut. Khan misses with a hook to the ribs.

Khan is bouncing around trying to prevent the takedown and somehow he has indeed managed to stay on his feet. Genghis Khan has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Kingsley Nasir. Khan prevents a takedown attempt there.

Khan seems content to control from guard here. He's going to have to remain active though if he doesn't want to get stood back up. Khan's ground tactics aren't going to win him many fans. Let's hope he's got fireworks for us if he gets back to his feet because he's not doing much on the ground. Nasir is trying to control the position but Khan postures up. That's one minute gone in the round. Khan pulls Nasir in to control the position. Nasir trying to control but Khan is working from the bottom. The referee is asking the fighters to pick up the pace. Khan pulls Nasir in close to his closed guard and prevents Nasir from doing any damage or advancing position.

Nasir lands with a cross to side of his opponent's head. Nasir tries to close the distance and clinch up but Khan swats him away and circles back towards the center. Khan swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect. Nasir fails with a takedown attempt. Kingsley Nasir has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here! Nasir takes a big intake of breath there - he's definitely tired.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Nasir throws a front kick aimed at Khan's knee but Khan avoids it well. A slow jab from Khan misses its intended target. Khan moves forwards but Nasir connects with a nice, crisp jab. Khan throws out a loose jab but Nasir uses good head movement to avoid it. Nasir takes the fight into the clinch. Khan lands with a short punch from the clinch.
Khan lands a nice looking hook to the body, against the cage. Nasir is trying to pull guard but being pressed up against the cage enables Khan to keep the fight standing. Khan misses with a shot to the kidneys.
A short right from Khan on the inside. Khan swings wildly with an uppercut but Nasir uses good head movement to avoid it. Khan lands with a short head shot on the inside. The crowd are loving this. Great action here. Khan tries to throw a body punch but Nasir avoids it by throwing Khan back against the cage. Khan digs a right hand underneath Nasir's ribcage. Nasir let out a lung full of air as it connected.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Nasir takes a shot to the head. Khan tried to land a shot to the body but connects with Nasir's elbow. Khan throws a head punch that misses. Khan avoiding damage as Nasir throws knees to the body.

Genghis Khan is fighting for a decision here - he's started to take the cautious approach. Still in the clinch, Khan scores with a nice short uppercut. Khan lands with a quick shot inside that doesn't really do much damage. Nasir misses with a hook to the ribs.
Khan is fighting off a takedown attempt but Nasir is just too persistent for him and manages to trip Khan to the mat. Khan regains guard as soon as the fighters hit the mat. Kingsley Nasir has got the better of the ground game so far. Khan wants to stand up but Nasir is controlling him. A big thud reverberates around the arena there as Nasir accidentally thumps the mat. Hopefully he's not broken his hand.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Khan keeping full guard, as Nasir tries to pass. Nasir advances position into side control! The fans in attendance giving it up for the two fighters, who have really let it all hang out in the last minute or so! Nasir working hard here to secure a kimura but he's not really in the right position for it. Nasir wants to control but Khan is keeping him busy. Nasir is trying to ground and pound but Khan uses the momentary lack of control by Nasir to regain half guard.
And that's the end of the fight! Genghis Khan showed his dominance in that final round. Well I reckon that's a shut out for Khan, winning every round. Will the judges agree? They are the ones who matter, even if they are often depressingly incompetent. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
