Coming up we have a super heavyweight MMA rules bout between Edmundo Chase (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Hulk Broker (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). This should be fireworks!

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the super heavyweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Edmundo Chase!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of Amsterdam, Hulk Broker!
The judges for this bout are Aafke Stam, Daniel Blasius and Radbod Blank.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Broker shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Chase napping and manages to drive through into side control!
Broker tries to move into full mount but can't pass Chase's legs.

Broker decides to stand up, so the ref orders Chase to his feet.
Chase really is a fat lump.

Broker closes the distance, clinches up and gets a nice trip takedown into side control. Very smooth.
Broker avoids the strikes from the bottom by Chase.
Chase manages to work his way to half guard, despite Broker's best efforts.
Chase has a hand on Broker's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Broker takes advantage of the position though and mounts him!
Chase swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Chase tries to get back to half guard but can't.
Fantastic stuff here - a very entertaining period of action, which has drawn cheers from the crowd.
Broker tries to control but Chase wriggling away.
Chase has been looking to land a fair amount of strikes on the ground. He might be looking to soften his opponent up in order to work for a submission.
Broker is in a good position here but he's just trying to control... And he's not even managing to do that successfully.

Chase swinging wildly from the bottom but he's not landing.
Broker prevents Chase from getting the reversal.
Chase is working hard here to advance position.
Chase might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground.
Broker trying to control but Chase is having none of it.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.
Broker is landing with some decent strikes but Chase is trying to advance his position so the referee is letting the fight continue.
The fighters are starting to perspire pretty heavily.
Broker breaks from Chase's wrist control and lands an elbow.
Broker landing strikes from the mount.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
Chase looking to escape from mount but he's given up his back!
Chase turns into Broker and is now in his guard.
Chase postures up and lands some nice ground and pound.

Chase scores with a decent looking elbow strike.
Chase postures up.
Chase throwing elbows and punches but not connecting, as Broker works some decent striking defense from the bottom.
Chase throwing strikes from guard but Broker blocks nicely.
Chase is sitting in guard, working some ground and pound.
Chase distracts Broker with his right hand and drops a big elbow with his other arm.
Broker is trying to control the position but Chase postures up.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
Broker avoiding any damage from the ground and pound.
Broker tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Broker is working from a closed guard but he's struggling to control his opponent.
Broker is working an open guard here, looking to improve his position. No doubt that will leave him open to counters but at least he's being more offensive.
We must be close to a standup if these guys don't pick up the pace.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Broker looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Chase puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hulk Broker dominated that round.
That's the end of the round. The referee orders the cornermen out of the cage so we can get back down to business.



Chase gets taken down but at least he's managed to land in guard.
Hammerfist, elbow! yells Broker's corner. There ya go! There ya go!

Chase has a loose triangle. He'll be looking to tighten that up but Broker can see exactly what he's planning and manages to posture up and free himself.

Broker decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Chase, up you get!

Broker shoots in for a takedown! He's got it and he's managed to land in side control! That's better than Broker was expecting from the takedown attempt, I'm sure!
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Broker works to advance to full mount. Chase defends for a few seconds but eventually he succumbs.

Broker jumps to the side looking to secure the arm triangle…. Ooooh, that looks tight… Chase is gargling but he's managed to escape! Nice work there by Chase and Broker has given up the dominant position trying to land that submission.
Chase is looking to reverse the position.

Broker tries to advance position but instead Chase slips a leg back in to half guard.
Broker is keen to just control but Chase is a slippery customer.

Broker blocks the strikes from Chase.
Chase misses with some strikes from the bottom.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are showing their displeasure at the lack of action as loud boos ring out around the arena.
Broker is trying to control the action in half guard but Chase is working away on the bottom, looking perhaps to get back to full guard.
Broker might have to switch it up a bit here because his efforts to control Chase haven't been going to plan, at least at the current moment in time.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.

Broker fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Chase to the ground. Broker is now in Chase's guard.
Broker is in close to Chase's body, working some short punches and elbows.

Both fighters are absolutely exhausted here.

Chase is throwing his legs up, looking for submissions. Broker is aware though and is defending well.

Chase looking for a guillotine here but Broker defends easily.
Chase looking to hit a scissor sweep but Broker is one step ahead there.

Broker thinks about going for a leg but decides against it, in order to maintain the position.
Broker has been the more effective fighter overall so far.
Broker trying to control the position from guard on top but Chase is wriggling around, looking for whatever he can.

Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it.

Chase is working actively off his back, looking to secure an arm or perhaps work for a triangle.
Broker is in close to Chase's body, working some short punches and elbows.
Broker is looking to stand up but Chase won't let him.

Chase working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Broker doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Broker manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem.
Broker wants to control from the top but Chase keeps moving.

The referee has stepped in and called for a break in the action. We'll restart on the feet.
Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out!

Broker fakes a strike and closes the distance, dragging Chase to the ground. Broker is now in Chase's guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Hulk Broker showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards.
The minute break is over - no more time for sponges and pep talks - back to the action! The crowd applaud as we get ready to start the final round!

Broker closes the distance and clinches up, looking for a takedown. He shifts his weight and gets a nice trip into half guard.

Broker has his opponent pinned against the cage, landing some nasty ground and pound that is really making a bit of a mess out of Chase's face.
Chase is squirming around, avoiding Broker's attempts to control the action.
Chase tries to get back to half guard but can't.

Broker is in full mount, looking to secure a guillotine but Chase is surviving well by controlling Broker's body position as best he can.
Chase is looking to get to half guard.
Chase gets back to half guard.

That's two minutes gone in the round.
Broker lands a big shot. The thud that echoes around the arena is like music to the fans' ears.
Chase is not content to let Broker control the position.
Chase punching from the bottom.

Broker looking for a kimura but he'll have to free his other leg if he wants to finish that. Perhaps he's just using it as a distraction technique.

Chase looking to work for a kimura from the bottom.

That's three minutes gone in the round.
Broker looking to pass the half guard. Not this time.
Broker wants to lay and pray for a moment but Chase keeps working.
Chase flails away from the bottom but he's not doing any damage.
Broker scores with a couple of good hammerfists.
Broker stalling away here and it's allowed Chase to slip out his trapped foot and regain full guard.
Broker trying to control but Chase is working from the bottom.

That's four minutes gone in the round.
The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so.
Chase keeping full guard, as Broker tries to pass.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Chase checks the leg kick nicely there.

Broker gets a double leg takedown into Chase's guard.
Broker not doing a lot at the moment. He'll have to show some more aggression or the fight will get stood up.
Broker trying to control but Chase is working from the bottom.

Chase tries to land a sweep but no joy.
Edmundo Chase has stepped it up - he knows he needs a finish here!
Hulk Broker is fighting for a decision - hopefully he's judged it right and he's actually winning the fight.

Hulk Broker comfortably won the final round on my scorecard.
Well Broker has outworked and out performed his opponent in all aspects of the game today. He was simply too good and the decision should be no more than a formality. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
