Coming up we have a light heavyweight MMA rules bout between Donnell Mclean (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Chris Theil (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Theil has chosen Still D.R.E. as his entrance music. Both fighters look pumped up here. Let's hope this is a good fight!

The bell rings for round one and we are underway! Mclean feints and as Theil raises his hands in defense, Mclean changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Theil not looking particularly offensive just at the moment.
Mclean makes a bit of distance and scores with some ground and pound, still in guard. Theil working from the bottom, still in full guard. He's managed to get a loose triangle. Mclean doesn't seem to be doing much to defend here, obviously he feels comfortable in the position. Mclean manages to throw the legs off his shoulder and he's back into guard - no problem. Mclean decides he's had enough of playing guard and decides to stand. Come on Theil, up you get! We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up. Excellent takedown into side control there by Mclean. Theil wants to get back to his feet. The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.
That's one minute gone in the round. Theil trying to control but Mclean flips him over like a cheap hooker and has his back! Mclean looking for the choke but no joy. Mclean missing with strikes from the back. Mclean working for a choke but Theil is defending well. Mclean really is a fat lump. Theil trying to control but not successfully. Theil felt the need to train up his defensive grappling in the buildup to the fight. Presumably he was expecting to be in a difficult position like this, so let's see if he can get out of it.
That's two minutes gone in the round. Theil manages to reverse the position and now he's in Mclean's guard. Nice work there by Theil.
Mclean keeping moving, preventing Theil from controlling successfully. Theil being controlled here momentarily. Theil looking to pass the guard. Mclean looking to sweep using the butterfly guard but Theil puts pay to that idea as he passes nicely into half guard.

The fighters are starting to get a bit slippery now, which will make submissions a bit more difficult. Mclean has a hand on Theil's thigh, trying to get back to full guard. Theil takes advantage of the position though and mounts him! Mclean wants to control but Theil is having none of it. Theil can't quite control the action as he would like just now, as Mclean is looking to escape. Mclean tries to reverse the position but Theil maintains control. Mclean sneaks a leg under to get to half guard. Mclean is breathing heavily.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Mclean preventing any damage for now, controlling his opponent's head. Mclean wants to improve his position but Theil is controlling well.
Theil is looking to advance position but Mclean won't allow it. The crowd thankful this round is nearly over. Theil prevents Mclean from improving his position. Mclean is concentrating on defense, preventing Theil from advancing position. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
That was a close round but I would say that Donnell Mclean will probably get the nod. The referee calls time. The cornermen exit stage left and we're back to business.

Mclean might be looking to lock onto one of his opponent's long limbs for a submission, whilst we're on the ground. Theil is keen to just control but Mclean is a slippery customer. Mclean is trying to stand up here but Theil is controlling him well. Mclean has his hands clasped together around Theil's back. He's all about the action. The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up. Theil drops an elbow to the side of Mclean's head.
That's two minutes gone in the round. The crowd are getting on the fighters' backs, as the pace has dropped off in the last minute or so. Mclean is looking to control Theil's leg but it's slowly edging free. Can Mclean avoid being mounted? Mclean on the receiving end of some nice ground and pound. The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work. Theil stands, ready to strike. The ref makes him back up and allows Mclean to get to his feet. Theil looking to shoot here. He's gone for it and he's landed a takedown into side control! Oh, that's bad for Mclean! Theil wants to lay and pray for a moment but Mclean keeps working. Mclean struggling a bit here. Theil wants to control but Mclean is keeping him busy.
That's three minutes gone in the round. Mclean gets back to half guard. Theil with a momentary lay and pray from half guard. Mclean is trying to get back to full guard. Theil sitting and controlling from the half guard. Mclean is looking to escape. Mclean is trying is best to control the position here.
That's four minutes gone in the round. Neither fighter has done anything of merit for a good minute or two here and the crowd are not happy about it. Mclean wants to control but Theil is keeping busy.
Mclean tries to roll over but Theil keeps him under control. Theil is just sitting in half guard, waiting for something to happen.
The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet. Theil feints and as Mclean raises his hands in defense, Theil changes levels and drives through with a takedown into guard. Boooooooooooooooooooo!!! God, this has been a terrible round. Come on you two, sort yourselves out! Theil controls the pace of the fight for a moment. And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.
Chris Theil showed his class in that round. I'd imagine he'll take it on all the scorecards. OK. That's time! The bell goes and we're back to the action. This is the final round!
Theil tries to sprawl but Mclean drives through with a takedown into half guard. Theil avoiding damage under a succession of punches from Mclean. Mclean is trying a forearm choke… I don't think that's going to do much at this level of the game.

Mclean is wise to his cunning plan and keeps the top position. Theil is working on a guillotine. He's managed to get to full guard and he's really squeezing tight! Mclean is tapping! Great win for Theil!
