Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the welterweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of
0 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Michael Jackson!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of
1 - 0 - 0, fighting out of The Island, Homan Lokamic!
The judges for this bout are Winston Alpacca, Santiago Holmes and Dirk Anderson.
The bell rings for round one and we are underway!
The fight stays on the outside here - Lokamic looks like he's thinking about clinching though.
A really sloppy takedown attempt there from Lokamic.
Lokamic shoots in looking for a takedown. Jackson tries to sprawl out of it but Lokamic keeps driving through. The fighters are pinned against the cage. Jackson manages to get underhooks and after a bit of a struggle, circles away and we're back to standing.
Lokamic goes for a double leg but Jackson avoids the attempt and the two fighters end up clinched against the cage as Jackson continues to drive forward.
Jackson swung with a counter right hand that didn't connect.
Michael Jackson has stuffed three takedown attempts in the round now. That's going to take a lot out of Homan Lokamic.
Lokamic looks to clinch
and Jackson counters with a good low kick that Lokamic was not able to check.
We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Jackson slaps away a takedown attempt from Lokamic, before circling back to the center of the mat.
Lokamic moves forwards but Jackson connects with a nice, crisp jab.
That's one minute gone in the round.
Sloppy strikes from Lokamic. Those never looked like landing.
Lokamic on the wrong end of a vicious looking body shot.
Lokamic looks winded!
Lokamic wants to clinch up but Jackson keeps it at a distance.
Jackson lunges at Lokamic with a hook that half lands and is half blocked by Lokamic's hand.
Lokamic closes this distance looking for a takedown but Jackson circles away.
An attempted straight right counter from Jackson misses the target.
Jackson cracks Lokamic with a big right hand that sends him crashing to the floor. Jackson has the opportunity to follow him to the ground but instead he's beckoning Lokamic to stand back up!
Lokamic is rocked!
The crowd cheering loudly, showing their appreciation for the quality fight we're seeing here.
Look low, kick high! Jackson uses the oldest trick in the book to send Lokamic tumbling to the canvas, in a truly brutal knockout! Jackson is absolutely delighted - when Lokamic wakes up, I doubt he'll be quite so happy!
Ladies and gentlemen, after 1:38 of round 1, we have a winner by way of KO (Head Kick). Michael Jackson!
