Coming up we have a bantamweight MMA rules bout between Isaias Christian (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class) and Jimmy Micheals (ranked 0 p4p, 0 weight class). Micheals has chosen Throw it up as his entrance music. Jimmy Micheals is the more experienced fighter, so let's see if that makes a difference tonight.

Ladies and gentlemen. This fight is 3 rounds, in the bantamweight division.
Introducing the fighter to my left, fighting out of the red corner.
With a record of 0 - 2 - 0, fighting out of Sydney, Isaias Christian!
And introducing the fighter to my right, fighting out of the blue corner.
With a record of 1 - 4 - 0, fighting out of Las Vegas, Jimmy Micheals!
The judges for this bout are Darius Henderson, John Mangel and Francis DeMontford.




The bell rings for round one and we are underway!

Micheals shoots in looking for a single leg takedown. Christian is trying to defend but Micheals finishes it well and ends up in half guard. Let's see if he can advance position further.
Christian controlling the leg, holding on to half guard.
Christian knows he needs to get back to his feet asap. He's simply no match for Micheals on the ground.

Christian looks like he's trying to stand up.

We've had a slow start to the round here - hopefully the action picks up.
Micheals seems very keen to just sit and control from half guard but Christian does not like that idea so much and is remaining active off his back.
Christian really does look like a pencil wearing a pair of gloves. Let's hope he has a gameplan to suit that ridiculous body shape.

Christian has managed to escape just enough to sneak back to his feet but Micheals is on him like a limpet, forcing Christian back against the cage.

Christian turns his back and goes for a hip toss. It's a bit messy but it gets the job done and Christian manages to end up in side control.

Christian remains in side control and seems content to stay there. It's a versatile position from which he can work both strikes and submissions, whilst maintaining that control, so maybe he'll sit here for a while.

Micheals is looking for a sweep.
Christian lands a knee to the body and follows it up with some ground and pound to the head. That will wear Micheals down.
Christian slows the pace down.
The fighters are pressed up against the cage, both looking to find a bit of space to work.
Micheals gets one leg under and gets the fight to half guard.
Still in half guard, Christian seems content to control.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.
Micheals has no desire to be mounted, so is trying to control. Christian is working away from the top position though.
The two fighters exchange a few words. I couldn't hear what they were saying but maybe it's more fun if you make it up yourself. Christian connects with a nice short shot to Micheals's temple.
Micheals wants to get back to his feet.
The referee calls for the fighters to work.
The referee must be thinking about standing these guys back up.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Christian throws a looping left and ducks down for a takedown. He's got his arms around Micheals's waist but Micheals gets an underhook and avoids the takedown by throwing Christian off to one side.
Christian shoots in looking for a takedown but Micheals manages to keep the fight standing, pushing Christian's face into the canvas for good measure before circling away.

Micheals shoots in and bounces Christian off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Christian is wriggling around but Micheals manages to pass to half guard.
The ref warns both fighters not to hold the cage as they work up against the meshing.

Micheals is trying to get back to his feet now but his leg is trapped.
Christian is positioning himself well to prevent Micheals advancing to mount.

Christian kicks Micheals off and gets back to his feet.
Micheals misses with a body kick.

Christian shoots in and bounces Micheals off the cage to secure the takedown into guard.
Christian is breathing heavily.

Christian gets to his feet and steps away from his opponent.

Micheals closes the distance and presses his opponent up against the cage.

The crowd are getting pretty annoyed with Christian for his constant stalling in the clinch and are voicing their displeasure.

Christian breaks the clinch and we're back to striking at distance.
Micheals pulls out of a head kick attempt.

Christian has taken the fight to the clinch.

Christian successfully pulls guard.
And that’s the end of the round – the fighters go back to their corners.

Isaias Christian dominated that round.
The corners get their ten second warning. Both fighters stand from their stools and stare eachother down, ready to get back to the action.


Micheals throws a combination that misses
and Christian counters with a stiff right hand.

Micheals clinches up with Christian and pushes him back against the cage.

Christian gets a warning from the ref for wasting time.

Christian gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Micheals regains guard.
Micheals controls Christian momentarily but Christian frees himself.

Christian lands a couple of decent looking shots.

The referee decides to stand the fighters back up.
Jimmy Micheals is looking to throw some combinations by the looks of things.

Jimmy Micheals seems to be the more aggressive standup fighter in this bout.
Micheals wants to slow Christian down by chopping away at his legs.

Christian changes levels and looks for a double leg takedown. Micheals tries to avoid it but Christian manages to keep hold of a leg and drag Micheals to the ground. Micheals escapes though and pops straight back up to his feet.
A nice side step and Micheals releases a counter shot to the body, but it doesn't find it's home.
Christian thuds a left hand into Micheals's body.

Micheals shoots in for a takedown from distance. He catches Christian napping and manages to drive through into side control!

There's not a lot going on here and the crowd are letting the fighters know they're not willing to tolerate a lack of action.

Christian sneaks a leg under to get to half guard.
The crowd thankful this round is nearly over.
Christian is concentrating on defense, preventing Micheals from advancing position.
Christian is not content to let Micheals control the position.

A close second round but Jimmy Micheals will probably get the nod - 10:9.

The ref stands the fighters back up due to a lack of activity.
Christian's corner calls for a 1-2. Christian obliges with the 1 part as he scores the single shot and moves back out of range.

Well. There's a bit of a lull in the action here and the crowd are starting to get restless.

Micheals has managed to clinch.

Christian gets the body lock takedown. After a quick scramble, Micheals regains guard.
Micheals seems keen to control rather than go for a submission, at least for now.
Christian has to be careful here, sitting in the guard of a superior BJJ player.

The referee has decided to stand the fighters back up, so we'll restart on the feet.

And that's the end of the fight!
Isaias Christian showed his dominance in that final round.
I think Christian has won this one but let's see what the judges have to say. Over to the ring announcer for the scorecards.
